[IMG] The Pitfiend or whatever the monster, that comes out from the arcane magic LvL9 Gate, once in my game summoned about 10 dead servants before it died. Did anyone else had this cool thing? If so, those anyone know how to make that happen. Thanks.

(I posted this message a few days ago, but it was a reply message so not many people could see.)

[IMG] You have no control what type of monster is summoned by these spells(including Animate Dead, Summon Monster). So, there is no way to manage your "Gate" spell to summon Pitfiend all the time. You may have Gelugon or such, as well as mighty Pitfiend. Sorry...

    OH I get it....
so it was the PITFIEND who summoned 10 servants right? I kept getting Glougon or something. so it means everytime Pitfiend is summoned 10 servants will be summoned after it dies if I took your message cleary.

Not necesarily. The Pitfiend also has a list of actions to choose from. It might summon monsters, but it might also choose to attack right out.

Though having it summon 10 monsters must look great! :)

Yes, it was Pitfiend that summoned servants. And Faragon is right that that will not happen all the time.
IIRC, there is one more demon which summons minions. But I don't remember tha beast's name.

so it seems that lvl9 gate isn't that bad after all~ i am so relived because i thought i wasted one of my precious lvl9 choice. It is definately better choice to have than bloody "Black blade of disaster". In BG2 that rocked so I thought it would work the same but well...you know~! :p

I think "Gate" is mediocre for its level. IMHO, summon monster IX is much better. Just my two cents...
