About NPC romance and banter

    [​IMG] Considering the time that I spend playing the game (about 3hs in a day) and the time that romances and NPC’s interaccions take to happen I realized that I missed a lot of them because the fact that ToB is too short. I played 3 times with Aerie and I never see her having the baby; banter between NPC were very few and I know there’s a lot more of them. I always played without haste, no speed boots, sleeping almost everytime a mission has ended, I mean, I take my time; but because I have to use my PC to do other things, I can’t just leave the game paused just to wait to something happen; I know the ways of CLUA and all of that but, is there any patch or file to change the time that it takes to a banter or romance to happen? of course without affecting all the mods installed (that means I guess those files in the overide folder). Apart from Ascencion and Redemption (I believe these two don’t extend the game too long) is there any other mod for ToB? I tried TDD but is too heavy for me to download, I tried also to get it in a CD but the people who made the mod say they can’t send or sell me a CD. Anyway, I just want to know about the possibility to speed up (at least half way) banter and romances and about any other mod around to make ToB a little bit longer.
    Like I said, I know how to use CLUA console and that you can just sit down and wait, so please, let me know if there is another way (changing a file or two) I appreciate any repply on this. Thank you.

    If you know how to use the CLUA Console, just do that. It is much simpler than changing the timing.

    Anyway, to answer your question: I do not know what line you have to change, but there is a way to shorten the length of time between chats. Currently they have it set for around 3000 seconds, which is nearly an hour of actual time. You can shorten it to anything you want though.

    Someone out there must know this answer...

    You can force banters with CTRL+I. Unless you HYPER-speedgame TOB you probably won't overrun the romance, though, since most of the LTs are event-driven, but you can always double-check with

    SetGlobal("xxxxRomance","GLOBAL",1)

    replacing xxxx with the name of the NPC.

    The Aerie baby timer is notoriously hard to get to fire. I forget the exact process to get it.

    There are other mods that affect TOB, such as Kelsey, and then of course Tactics will have its impact on TOB as well, such as the Improved Oasis component.

    replacing # with the number of seconds, 3000 is a good number.

    Be careful though - all quests and stuff on real time are quickened as well.
