AC bonus with dual wield?

[IMG] So I was going to try dual wielding with Valygar and have two swords each with AC bonuses. If either is equipped one handed, I get its bonus. But as soon as I equip the other on the off hand, I lose the original bonus from the first weapon and don't get the bonus from the second.

Is this the way it's supposed to work, or is this a bug?

It is supposed to work like that. Dual-wielding does incur a penalty to THACO. Valygar already has two stars in the dual-weilding fighting style so the penalties aren't as bad as they could be. How high of a level is Valygar (since this is ToB) he should have a great THACO anyway to where the penalty won't matter much.

Whoops now I see you said AC and not THACO, maybe you meant THACO?

No I meant Armor Class. The 2 swords each have Armor Class bonuses (I forget which swords). One is a bonus of 2, and the other is 1. And the AC goes down by that amount if they are only equipped on the first hand. But when I equip the other on the second hand, no bonuses at all.

Odd. Has anyone experienced similar problems with dual wielding with other bonuses?

Sorry, I figured it out. Valygar had proficiency points in single weapon style which gave him an AC bonus when using one weapon without a shield. So when I equipped the second weapon, I still got the AC bonus from the sword, but lost the bonus from the single weapon style proficiency.
