[IMG] The music video to "Across the Stars" the love theme from Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clones, will debute Tuesday 4/23 at 4pm ET/PT during MTV's Total Request live.

That day the movie soundtack comes out also, by veteran composer John Williams.

It's not the full film yet, but might be enough to hold you over until it comes out!

[IMG] And for those who don't want to sit through TRL to see it, there are plenty of people who will be recording it and converting it on to the Internet.

There are reports of Episode II commercials that started airing today. Mostly compiled from the various trailers, they do however sport new music and a few new lines and instances.

Also, next Tuesday is not just the date for the music video and soundtrack, but all things merchandise. Books, action figures, trading cards, you name it. It makes me want to be a kid again.

But beware those books and trading cards if you don't want to be spoiled. The action figures seem harmless though  I'm not a huge action figure person; I only bought Darth Maul and Qui-Gonn for TPM. But the decision is tougher this time though. One thing's for sure, I'm getting Count Dooku.

After him, it's competition with Anakin, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Yoda, and Jango Fett.

A friend of mine picked up a bunch of the early bird figures for AoTC. I think there were 4 or 5 of them. Anakin, Mace, clonetrooper, Jango, Zam Wessell, and Boba Fett (the youngster). The only weird thing is that the guns and stuff have transparent colored laser blasts coming from the weapons...

I'll probably pick up the soundtrack - I have all the others...Why stop now?

Action figures. Ahh that brings back memories. I remember my old ones from the early 80'ties. So I couldn't help laughing when I saw "Han Solo" "and Luke Skywalker" Anno late 90-ties. Beefed up Arnie types. What happened to reality there :heh:

I can't wait to buy all the nice music :1eye: Wo wo woooooooooo hoooooooo.

[IMG] The commercials were not rumors and here they are in mpeg format: Anakin Commercial and Clone War Commercial .

The first one features the new music theme: Across the Stars. And the second one features ROTJ music from the Clone War trailer but then heads into new music that I haven't heard yet.

"Always a pleasure to meet a Jedi." ;)

"Sorry to dissapoint Dooku. This party's over." :spin:

The commercials also confirm that the movie is rated PG. What's the big deal, aren't all Star Wars films rated PG? Well yeah, but if there was ever a Star Wars film that brushed against the lines of PG-13, it would be this one. We'll have to wait and see what the reaction is and if Lucas will have to make Episode III PG-13, because it's supposed to be darker than this one.

Remember those racist and stereotypical comments directed at Lucas in the past? I can tell you, they aren't going anywhere. Jar-Jar, Watto, and Nute Gunray are all back (limited roles though.) However the heat might be off them this time. We all know that Anakin is raised in a single parent family and look how he turns out. Then you have Jango and Boba Fett. Another issue is a certain nomadic desert race of creatures we all know, that are probally going to be compared to certain people of the middle East in light of recent times. And on and on. Wah wah wah.

Maybe the movie should have been rated PG-13. It deals with more adult themes more along the lines of the orginal trilogy. Those expecting another happy go lucky TPM are in for a surprise. This movie has bright, mushy moments, but it has it's share of sinister and brutal moments as well.

As soon as I find that it's been uploaded, I'll post the link to the Across the Stars video :).

Haven't all the previous movies been rated as U? I.e. Universal? OR maybe that's just a UK thing :)

[IMG] Yeah, I talked to someone from the UK and they were saying that all the SW films were rated "U" over there. Although they did say still no UK rating for AOTC yet.

    Good news...

As Yoda would say, "There is another"

Another commerical that is. No dialogue this time, just more new music and awesome Jango Fett !

No need to rely on video tapes or TRL, the official site has announced it will display the Across the Stars Video as well.
