For the last days whenever I first go to
    http://www.sorcerers.net/index.php
I get a message that my Adblocker needs to be deactivated so that I can get all the ads that pay for the site.

When I first saw that message some days ago I set the adblock+ addon of my browser to be "deactivated on that site" and the adblock icon is greyed out when I am here on sorcerers.net. So it is deactivated. Yet everytime I start the browser and visit
    http://www.sorcerers.net/index.php
the message appears again, as if the site can’t tell the difference between having adblock installed and running and
having adblock installed but deactivated on the site.

(Moved this to a separate thread so that it'll be easier to reference and look up.)

That's odd, I've installed ABP myself and the detection script doesn't come up if I disable ABP for sorcerers.net. Can you upload a screenshot of what you're seeing (you can send it to me privately)? I think I should be able to make it so that the script doesn't fire at all for logged-in SPS account holders, but it definitely shouldn't if you've got your adblocker disabled.

One thing to look out for is that you might possibly have more than one ad blocker active, e.g. some anti-virus and similar programs and various no-script addons also block ads. If you're not logged into your SPS account on the site pages and are not seeing banners display, then you likely have an alternative blocker that needs to be deactivated as well.

Thanks to @catbert we've now made it so that you can have adblockers enabled as long as you're logged into your SPS account on the site pages. Ad blockers are not really needed for SPS account holders since you can disable all the ads via your SPS control box and much more cleanly than ABP does (disabling ads via SPS also removes all the design elements where the ads are displayed), but disabling the check for ad blocking software for logged in SPS account holders should remove some headaches in cases where users have multiple blockers and can't figure out how to turn all of them off.

If you run into any other issues, please let me know.

I do use the Noscript addon in addition to Adblock+. However I do allow Sorcerers.net so that should not have been a problem.

When I visited the main page today after starting the browser the problem is gone as I am logged in.
