Hi all. I decided to revisit the game with a new party.

1 - Human Paladin level 3 (no issues)
2 - Human Fighter level 3 Plan to dual to Druid at level 7 (no issues)
    S15-D12-Con16-I8-W17-Cha12 True Neutral
    3 - Elf F/T level 2/2 (no issues)
4 - Human Ranger level 3 Plan to dual to Cleric at level 6 (cannot - greyed out)
    S16-D14-Con16-I10-W18-Cha13 Chaotic Good
5 - Half Elf Bard level 3 (no issues)
6 - Human Fighter level 3 Plan to dual to Wizard at level 3 (cannot - greyed out)
    S12-D12-Con13-I18-W10-Cha10 Neutral Evil

Character 2 is able to dual now. What am I missing here with characters 4 & 6?

I have HoW and Trials installed and am all patched. I've played from start to the end of Trials before. So all is installed properly. No changes.

For dualclassing you need a human with at least 15 in the primary attributes of the first class and 17 in the primary attributes of the second class.

I'm surprised that your character 2 can dual from fighter to druid, for this you need at least 15 str, 17 wis and 17 cha according to AD&D rules.

Your ranger needs at least 15 in all the ranger's primary stats, dexterity is one of them.

Since character 6 is a fighter (s)he needs at least 15 str (fighter's primary stat) for being able to dual at all.

You can install the "Happy dual-classing" component from the "Ease-of-use Pack" if you want to dualclass those characters nevertheless or you can use "Dale Keeper" to change attributes, but since you are still at the beginning of the game and didn't use very good rolls for your characters restarting isn't a bad idea either. If you want to keep the rolls of your other characters you can just export and reimport them.

OP, you do know you're allowed to roll several times until you get a good one, right? Also you can subtract from one stat and add to another.
