    [IMG] I've played through SoA numerous times, though never played through the whole expansion. Mostly because I just get tired of my class/party :)

    Anyway, now I was gonna play it through with my Blade. Got a problem beating Melissan though. I can take her on the first two times, but when she starts summoning Slayer Shades and Bone Fiends it gets really messy. Ever worse with her time stop - which she seems to have unlimited of - since she whacks atleast one in my group everytime she does it. The traps I set either dissapears when she appears, or doesn't hurt her (set 7 spike traps when nothing else worked).

    I have:
    * Myself as a Blade - dualing Spectral Brand +5 and Short Sword of Mask +5
    * Korgan - dualing Axe of the Unyielding +5 and Runehammer +5
    * Sarevok - Psion's Blade +5, Sword of Grief +5 and Silversword.
    * Viconia - Flail of Ages +5, Erinne Sling +5
    * Jan - Angurvadal +5, Firetooth +5
    * Edwin - Staff of the Magi, Fire Tooth +3 (the throwing knife)

    Sarevok, Korgan and myself are doing fine, it's just that Viccy, Edwin and Jan gets killed all the time. Since I gotta break her "recharging" one more, I'd prefer them alive.

    Any tip how to kill her? I get so overrun my Slayers that some characters can't even move.

    Even when I get a Critical with Short sword of Mask, I do 2 damage. Korgan does around 7-10 and Sarevok just some point more.

    The exact same way you fight every other remotely hard enemy.

    Summon, Buff, protection spells, offensive spells, since you're playing a Blade use your enhanced Bard song to over power yourself as much as possible. Ignore the summons Mellisan brings in, leave that to you're own summoned lackeys, even without the bard song a concentrated attack will kill her in short enough time.

    If you're only inflicting a few points of damage on Melissan that's probably because she's got spell protections galore in place. Hit her with a few dispel magics then greater whirlwind attack her.

    Yea, finally whacked her! Tenser transformation gave me over 300 hit points. A Simuclarum of me sang and she died. Korgan too though, heal is the spell of spells ;)
