All I want the silly girl to do is stand still and turn undead. That's it. She's a 20th level cleric now. Most undead explode in her presence. But for some stupid reason, every time I'm not looking, she'll chase after the undead with a mace (and likely as not, get level drained to death).

I've tried no script, a general passive script, and a cleric passive script. It's always the same. How do I get her to stand still and turn? Suggestions anyone?

Get rid of the script she is running. Or disable party AI.

Actually, I've had that problem too. I often Use her as a backup cleric and my main mage. I have her on Wizard Defensive or Cleric Defensive, and I still see her run and attack melee..

Same happens with whatever thief I'm using trying to keep him/her as a range person. They feel a need to draw sword and charge, even from far away...

Disabling party AI is worth the effort I tell you. Sure you'll be pissed with how often you'll find some enemy whacking away at your character who can't do anything else but stand still until you tell them to attack, but at least it won't get confusing as to what's the thing YOU have to do for your characters and what are THEY going to do for themselves.

Characters won't change their weaponslot though, so if you keep your ranged characters filled with ammunition, they won't go for close-range. Even when they should. But as soon as they run out of ammunition, even the mages will run in against that demon for some HtH. So like I said, it's worth a try. Unless there's a way to remove the AI from one character specifically. I've never bothered to find out about this.

You can select 'None' under the script options, which is what I use for all non-fighters in my group.
