    [​IMG] As you can see by my face, I am not impressed with the Flyers so far this season. They have been a model of inconsistency - except for goaltender Brian Boucher!

    They seem to play down to teams. They have a lot of goalscoring talent in their forwards (Recchi, Roenick, LeClair, Primeau, and the youngsters: Gagne, Williams, Brendl and Hlavac) but they are inconsistent. Even call up Marty Murray is showing more life and pluck then the veterans.

    Blueliner Kim Johnsson Looks very good! Luke Richardson and "Thunder" Dan McGillis are solid as ever...The biggest concerns are with Desjardins and Therien who aren't scoring and are a combined -12 in +/-. I think the defense needs to step it up a bit overall.

    My overall grade for the team so far would be an underachieving C-.

    Being a hockey fan in Montreal has turned into a painful experience over the last few years. Since the last Cup in 93, things have been going consistently downhill. Losing over 500 man-games in each of the last two seasons didn't help either. Then, during the off-season, the team is sold to someone who allegedly has the desire - and the cash - to turn this team around.

    The prospect of once again having a winning team coupled with the acquisitions this summer certainly gave the fans something to believe in. A 4-0-1 start helped even more. Then the wheels fell off.

    What are the odds of losing both starting goalies to injuries in the span of two days? I'm telling you, it's painful to watch around here. Nevertheless, I still hang on to that sliver of hope that this will be the year the team regains some of their splendor from bygone eras.

    [​IMG] Grrr not so good... The Canucks have a great goal scoring line up but our defense sucks! :flaming: We definately need to invest in a new goalie!
