    Age of the High Elves

When time began the Fey and Demons threw into Anora all that they represnted,
the Fey created one race to rule for them,
    the High Elves.

The High Elves built massive cites of white marble and stained glass,
huge towering spires that rose to the clounds,
perfect gardens that deisplayed of beautiful mix of Earth's best colors,
scupltures of white washed stone that depicted everyrthing from a winged horse to a blooming rose.

These first of the Elven race were free,
    to create,
    build,
    invent,
    and grow.

Like the Fey that created them they lived in harmony with nature,
    and themselves,
for three thounsand years the race of the High Elves endured.

Then the Demons decided to create thier own race,
    the Orcs,
like the Fey the Orcs were the embodiment of their creators,
    embracing chaos,
    death,
    blood.

The conflict began as the ancient battle between good and evil came to Anora in a flood of horror,
for three thousand more years the two races battled,
but the happy and enlightend, pointy-eared, peoples were unused to war,
they had few weapons that could stand againt the might of the Orcs hoards.

    One by one,
    thier cities fell,
walls were breached and Orcs came flooding through killing everything,
    every Elf was slaughtered,
    down to the last child.

Never before had the Elves witnessed such horrible massacure,
city by city thier great nations collapsed.

It all ended with the fall of Themarial,
    capitol city of the Elves,
where the Orcs killed the most,
over 150 thousand Elves were butchered,
    queen Evanneen and king Enlore,
    were captured.

The two battered rulers were taken to Orthaka,
    capitol of the Orcs,
    there they faced Argath,
Ruler of the demons, and leader of the Orc hoards,
    and there they died,
    under Argath's clawed hand.

    The remianing Elves fled,
    thier cities broken,
    thier leaders captured,
they ran for the shelter of the deepest woods.

The Orcs gave chase of course,
but under the sheltering branches of the great trees the Elves stayed safe.

    Soon they changed,
    no longer High Elves,
but more attunded to the forests,
they remaned themselves the Wood Elves,
and the Wood Elves would endure.
