All NPC Quests

With enough searching I could probably get this in bits and pieces, but is there a concise list of (Player) NPC's and their mini quests anywhere?

Skip romances. I want to know which NPC's are valuable to take for interesting *non-romance* storylines, or treasure, or experience.

So far it appears that...

Imoen... Rescue her, obviously. Any others?
Jaheira... -sigh- Harper Hold, Any other, non-romance quests?
Korgan... Book of Kaza only
Valygar... Planar Sphere, anything else?
Yoshimo... Heart-purifying quest only
Cernd... Druid Grove only, and he's not essential
Nalia... Save keep and kidnapping. Any others?
Haer'Dalis... Any after resquing him?

Minsc... No mini-quests
Aerie... No mini-quests
Anomen... ?Besides Romance?
Jan... ?
Keldorn... ?
Mazzy...?
Edwin...?
Viconia... ?Besides Romance?

Thanks. I'm not after all the details. I just want to know which characters I need to take (for a while anyway) that have interesting or rewarding quests attached to them.

 

Under the link for Walkthroughs, there is a pretty nice list under the Low Spoiler Quests List, or something to that effect. I read through that a few times and it looks like everything you are looking for will be in there. You will have to read down through the list to find what you are looking for because character specific quests are not listed under that character, they are just listed down the page in no particular order that I could see.

Mazzy - help to find how have poisoned her sister in Trademeet and rescue her
Keldorn - help him with his family
Jan - help his fmily also, but in different way
Aerie - the actors troupe quest
Minsc - i guess he is binded somehow with Umar Hills quest
Edwin - i don't know if there is a quest with him

 

While in the Docks District, Yoshimo mentions he has some business with Renal Bloodscalp. This leads to the Thief stronghold quest. Yoshimo, AFAIK, does not leave if you do not do it.

Cernd has a quest concerning his family. A man in Waukeen's Promenade will confront him about it, and that will lead up to a whole bunch of other stuff concerning his past.

Aerie's mentor, the gnome what's-his-name, has a friend who has some trouble. This leads to the Bard stronghold quest. As I understand, Aerie begs to you to go see the gnome what's-his-name, but after that, she doesn't complain.

Edwin makes mention of some powerful scrolls in the Graveyard District. He wants to go check them out. Leads to a few interesting consequences.

An Ogre mocks and bullies Mazzy, and challenges her to a duel in the Copper Coronet.

Despite Minsc being a Ranger (and Mr. Corthala for that matter), he is not directly concerned with the Umar Hills quest. But it is your stronghold quest if you're a Ranger.

The first three aren't really essential; they only serve to lead up to other quests.

That'a also a subquest for Anomem...after a few days in your party (maybe a week), a messenger will come for him talking about his sister who has been murdered. I won't tell the whole history (if I do so the surprise will be gone)...but the way you deal with it after his sister's murder will determinate if his rank inside the Cross of the Radiant Heart will increase to Sir Anomem...getting his Wisdom to 16 and receiving some good Exp( I don't remember if there are more benefits)...improving his capacity of memorizing Priest Spells...

Here's how to initiate some of them:
Jaheira - Baron Ployer's curse (Take her to the Sea bounty tavern)

Cernd - See C'Jakob's post (bring him into the city, I think a messenger finds you)

Anomen - See Silver Bear's post (IIRC, he'll pipe up about returning home.. taking him directly to the Government District doesn't initiate the quest)

Jan - Help his family (a messenger looks for you once he's been in your party long enough)

Keldorn - Help his family (bring him to the Government District, unlike Anomen)

Edwin - Take him to the Graveyard.

 

I think there is a quest for everyone - but is there one for Minsc? He seems to be the only "questless" NPC, who is oddly enough the most popular too.

 

Actually I think Nalia could be linked to the Guarded Compound and Twisted Rune 'Quests' seeing as they in turn are linked to her kidnappng quest. Without her, you actually have no real buisness in either complex!

 

What about Yoshi's quest with the shadow thieves in the docks district, I didn't bother with this one because I thought it would upset all of the good members of my party, but I do know you had to steal a necklace from someone

AFAIK - all the quests

Aerie - Circuis quest in Waukeens promande, restore her natural form and save her uncle - Quayle. Later she gets a message to help raelis Shai, helping her is also part Haer'Dalis' quest.

Anomen - His sisters murder and his test for knighthood at the radient heart.

Cernd - Druids grove quest and there is another! where he sees a friend who just happened to appear nearby and says Cernd isn't welcome because he left when his wife had a sprog on the way, he has to track them down, rescue his son and sen him to the pansy-men to learn flower-power.

Edwin - Get the scroll from the crypts - DO THIS WITH KORGANS QUEST OR YOU CAN'T COMPLETE THEM BOTH. (please, I needed to emphasise that.)

Haer'Dalis - The Planar Prison. And there was a murder he was framed for but that was removed oh - and he wants Aerie.

Imoen - Immy Immy Immy! Rescue her! DUH

Jaheira - yeah, the harpers, baron Ployers curse, das ist das

Jan Jansen - get him out the prison if you get him thrown into it, sort out his family problems. Yata yata.

Keldorn - Sort out his wifes affair, throw her in jail, divorce, or go off with her boyfriend nah, funny if you could do that third option is to stay with his family.

Korgan - Get the book, follow a paper trail, get drunk afterwards and sell it for a bob or two.

Mazzy - Gork the Squisher wants to squish 'er so kick 'im where it hurts (being a halfling - headbutt.) Family problems! Her sister was given a toxic love potion, you have to cure her. She also picks Vulgar Valygar to be her squire. Maybe she LIKES him

Minsc - Minsc and Boo stand ready to kick butt in other peoples quests..

Nalia - Her keep. Isea acts up an all - set the arrogant pipsqueak right!

Valygar - return him to the wizzys or use him yourself to open the phere and do the stuff in there.

Viconia - free her from the fire! She may be hot to some of you but that doesn't mean she burns. her only quest is the romance.

Yoshimo - Thief quests, no objections at all, and of course - his heart

 

8people, I don't think you have to acomplish the mission of Edwin with the mission of Korgan. I always finish their quests with one or the other and I never had a problem. Strange...

 

Suprisingly, although I don't believe it happens every time, but i believe it happens at least 90% of the time.

Minsc does have a quest, if and only if, you're not a ranger. Delon from Umar Hills and Minsc are the quest triggers for Umar Hills. Why?

Who does Delon come up and talk to in your party, before anyone else, if they're in your party ? Minsc. Why ? Maybe cos he is a ranger.

I assume if you're a ranger Delon will come up to you, but more often than not, when I've done Chapter 1 to 2 of SoA, which is quite a few times, and I can't stress few enough, but only a small percentage of those times have i gone through to complete SoA, he (Delon) deliberately goes to Minsc.

Anyway, Minsc does has a quest, ie Umar Hills.

Thanks to Chris, too, for the walkthrough suggestion. All the info is there, but not listed by character.

Now if I could just get Jaheira to go away so I could pick up another NPC... Sorry, that's a different post.

 

Jechor, Delon will still give you the Umar Hills quest without Minsc and if your main character is not a ranger. You can find him in the government district.

There are no quests that require Minsc to be in the party.
