Having played through the game once, I was wondering if anyone has experimented with an all fighter party. While horrid wilting and dragon's breath are pretty fun, it seems that all the baddies have pretty good magic resistance, except for the ones you can beat up with melee anyway.

    Me - fighter
    Sarevok - fighter
    Korgan - berserker
    Anomen - fighter/cleric
    Keldorn - paladin
Imoen - so she's not a fighter, but she is your sister and all.

Each of the fighters eventually get access to great weapons...

Me- Foebane/Crom Faeyr. (only got 3 stars in bastard sword- who really took bastard sword in SoA????)
    Sarevok- Ravager
Korgan- axe of the unyielding, great weapon!,darksteel shield
Anomen- Flail of Ages/Shield of the Order (thought it was kind of ironic, seeing how I got him to fail his test)
Keldorn- Carsomyr - his only redeeming quality
    Imoen - the 22 str flamesword/gesen bow

With the party equipped like this, there's not that much that can hold up. Imoen can cast true sight and breach when you need it, and can handle all of your thief stuff as well. She's nowhere near the spellcaster that Edwin is, but then who is?

I'm playing a multiplayer game with 5 party members created by me:

    Paladin
    DC fighter/cleric
    Kensai
    DC thief/fighter
    DC fighter/mage
    Imoen

This party does all of the necessary basic functions(trap disarming, bringing down mage defenses, healing), and can deal out enormous physical damage as well. Of course its not as interesting dialogue-wise, but I suspect one could, with patience and proper planning, create a party with almost as much fighter-power as mine using only the NPCs.

As for a party of all fighters, without at least one powerful mage, some of the battles will just be impossible.

I was close to an all fighter party....

    Me: Paladin/Inquisitor with Carsomyr +6
    Anomen: Crom Feayr, Darksteel Shield
Valygar: Dual wield Foebane +5, and Answerer
Mazzy: Gram's Sword of Grief +5, Gesen Bow
Imoen: (Used Shadowkeeper to make her a thief again), Short sword of mask, shadow dragon armor, +4 shield, + assassination + greater evasion= x5 damage, -21 AC, -1 THAC0!
    And my one non-fighter: Aerie

To MrSerious: Really? Name one battle that this group, minus Aerie, could not win. (Remeber Inquisitors dispel magic 7/D and true sight 7/D) Hell, she just sat in the back most of the time anyway... only had her for romance plots. I think her final XP value for the group was about 4%, note that she was the first group member I recruited out of Irenicus's Dungeon.
