[IMG] When I first came across the Avatar of Amaunator, I realised that it was not some god, or diety that was slain in the Time of Trouble. In fact, it seems that this Amaunator was simply forgotten...

Does anyone here has any insights into this?

Yes i believe i have a bit of foresight into this, or at least what i beleived to have happened, if you read that book they have throughout the game about baal bane and myrkul, they apparently took the power of one of the seven lost gods, so i believe that amauntor could have either been one of these or was the one they killed, also i think that the reason that he was forgotten is because of shar or some other evil goddess and genocide or conversion of all who remembered/believed in him/her. just my own opinion though.

In the game, it is strongly implied that he still "exists" but no longer has power because he's been forgotten.

sorry but i really do not remember anything about him still existing, because after the time of troubles any god who had no followers lost all his/her power and therefor ceased to exist, or at least that was my take on the whole thing.

I don't know about everything (or even that much) in the D&D mythos, but I do know the game. I don't want to spoil anything, though...
