[IMG] I'm at level 3 and am debating on getting ambidexterity feat for my monk. So here is the first part of my question: Does a monk attack with both hands? I know the manual describes the monk using fists, notice the plural. But is that just a general description, or is that true to the game?

On my Character screen it only shows attack modifiers for my main hand, not my off hand. This is why I doubt.

And if a monk does indeed use both hands, does the off hand get the penalty? In otherwords, for the sole purpose of staying out of armor and fighting with fists, is the ambidexterity feat worth it? Will it reduce the penalty of the off hand (if there even is one)?

I think ambidexterity only applies to armed combat. I might be wrong, but this is how it works in 3rd edition after all.

Monks are assumed to be attacking with arms, legs, etc. Its built into their attack rate. Getting Ambidexterity is unnecessary as a monk unless you want to dual wield regular weapons for some reason.

[IMG] That's what I needed to know. No ambidexterity for her then -- no need to.

    Now, what to choose? :hmm:
