An amusing website - even though the author doesn't think so

Who said schizophrenia could not be funny?

Here's a great little website from George Hammond.

In case you are unfamiliar with the Internet's more colorful personalities, Hammond was once institutionalized for schizophrenia and now thinks he figured out a proof for "god".

The "proof" should leave you in stitches - especially the matrices.

Normally, it wrong to laugh at people like this, but Hammond's case is rare. He posts regularly to Usenet and his demeanor is less than cordial.

Please note: There is an actual physicist with the same name. The two should not be confused.

The mathematics aren't really the problem. The only problem I had with his prove is, that if you don't accept the fact that the brain deficient is the cause of God, he hasn't proven a thing. So as long as that part isn't proven, the rest of the proof is worthless. I don't have time and patience to read the 20 page version, so maybe his prove is more tangible there.

To talk about the fact that proving the existence of God to solve the world problems. If he really thinks that, it means he should go out in the world a bit more since it will probably have the adverse effect.

Sorry to have made this topic heavy. :o So please somebody else post some lighter comments on it to compensate. :p

The difference between madness and geniality is only a point of view and a matter of success. :p

Aye, Meatdog, you got it - the leap of faith (off the cliff) is the idea that God is in the deficit.

Y'know, I wonder if THAT's why Bush doesn't worry about deficits!

    Pretty good... :D

Although I must wonder, am I obsessed with Stargate because the first thing "George Hammond" springs to my mind is the General from said show?

    *shakes head*

    Poor me...

Rougly speaking, what this person does is take a mathematical Coordinate System "the Cartesian" and notice that he can relate(brutally squeeze) a lot of human aspect into it and further relate it to religion and Psychology and practically everything else. Therefore there must be some higher "meaning" with it... He then seems to empirically use this to proove (with a lot of assumptions), that this "meaning" is some kind of divine work and that we might all evolve into something divine too, when our evolutionary growth is complete and perfect.

Wheter this conclusion and even its basic assumptions are far fetched or not is of course a personal taste of open mindedness. Interesting read nevertheless.

He, most likely, beleives in God. And therefor I cant take this seriously. Anyone beleiveing in something hard enough can find some "proof" to it´s existance or whatever may be the question. So until god him/herself gets down here and slaps me in the face I´ll just go along with my ignorance to religion.

This site is made by self proclaimed professor Rudy J. Boxman, who proves to us, that 'keeping "it" in the family' can have ill effects on your offspring.

Rudy claims to have found a new law of nature, BOXMAN-NATURE LAW, be gentle :p

Not only does this man proove himself to have any intelligence whatsoever. He also tells us that he´s taking far to much liking to the smoking of what they smoke in Holland.
I think there may be a reason that is illegal in a big part of the world.
The number of fools there is in this world...

Although, I think the first one is even more stupid.

The first gentleman's theories, were an interesting interpretation of, uh, anything logical at all, but I could sympathise for a man with a case history of mental unbalance. His ideas are inane I admit, but I think he is just an unfortunate case, I don't think we should make fun of him.

    However.

Let me include some of Mr. Baxter "the long expected new new new einstein after the dead of Albert Einstein"'s postulations.

Well, at least he is no longer scared.
