With just one word, all can change. Believe me, I know. All I said was 'Yes'. No more, no less. Yet now my life is full of fear and pain: Fear that someone will find out, fear that the Dark Lord will torture me again, pain from both the Dark Mark and my scar.
Yes, I said scar. You know, the one shaped like a lightning bolt on my forehead? The one that everyone stares at? That one. You wouldn't think that The Boy Who Lived would have the Mark. But I do.
I still don't know why I said yes. It wasn't because of the pain: I had lived through Crusio before. Maybe it was fear that the Dark Lord would kill Hermione and Ron. Maybe it was fear for my own life. Maybe I'll never know.
The Mark gleams dark red on my arm now, always burning. I can tell no one, or the Dark Lord will kill me. That I know. He may not be able to kill me himself, but there are plenty of Death Eaters who would be glad to kill me for him.
Snape knows: the look he gave me during Potions, and the glance at my arm, proved that. Draco knows too: his father must have told him. I don't think ether of them told anyone, though: the Dark Lord would have said something. That, at least, I'm thankful for.
Now I lie here, stareing at the canopy of my bed, alone, afraid. My grades are slipping: I couldn't care less. Hermione and Ron know something is wrong, but they don't know what. And, if I have any say here, they never will.
It's getting harder to hold up my eyes: I'm falling asleep. I don't fight it. Sleep is the one escape from my problems. At least in dreamland I don't feel pain.

Cant remember the last time Potter stopped to think about his or his friends safety.
Always tryin to be the big saviour hero.
Atleast the tales are getting better. Liked the twins exit.
