When I was little, every night before I went to bed I would say goodnight to my parents, who were usually out on the couch.

My cat knew what time it was. She would wait under the couch in anticipation.

I swear whenever the word "goodnight" left my mouth, she would bolt out and chase me down the hall and jump up at me.

    No joke.

Every night was an animal attack. But it sure was funny.

Dogs. I was bitten by a huge beast of a dog. Since then, I'm afraid of dogs.

I have Axylotyls (Mexican walking fish) and I have to feed them by hand, unfortunately they confuse my fingers for food.
A friend of mine told me about the time one of her axylotyls snapped on her finger, she got such a fright that she flicked her hand and the poor thing went 'SPLAT' on the wall spreadeagled and slowly slid down the wall. Don't worry, it did survive!

I was attacked by a Saint Bernard dog once. A few years later, an ex-gf of mine wanted to watch Cujo. I just couldn't do it.

My nephew was attacked by a goose once when we went canoeing and he stood to close to the goose's nest while taking a leak.

One time, we were camping by this river, and my brother was playing in it. Apparently, he turned around and saw this big, warty, round green thing and ran to shore screaming, "Attack Frog! Attack frog!"

Yeah, the swans and ducks at the park can be a problem. I've put a kick to a couple, a time or two. It's not bad with adults, but they can cause problems with children.

Dogs are the main problem around here. When I was a kid, walking around the block with my father, we always carried a stick. Four or five feet long, and a really long/bright flashlight. A 6 D-cell aluminium flashlight. There was only one or two we ended up hitting, but we took a swing at several. I remember one in particular that my dad had to swing at, missing it's nose by 5 or 6 centimeters at the absolute most.

Looking back now, I can see it would have been nice to carry a paintball gun. Just call the city dog catcher, and tell him to look for the "green and blue spotted dog, that's kind of limping".

It's always fun and games walking around a suburb in the US.

    Be prepared.

When I was much younger (six or seven years old) I had my finger tip bitten off by my parents' African Grey Parrot. I certainly wasn't amused. However, I recently saw my medical records and it shows that I was treated for a PIRATE bite. Ahr matey, little boys' fingers go down good with a bottle of grog.

Velcro and I have been chased by plenty of dogs while out bicycling. I was once walking by myself through a lightly wooded campground and I heard a dog stalking behind me. I turned around suddenly and shouted "NO!" with every bit of ferocity I could muster. This was a fairly large do (Lab or bigger) and I stopped him, dead. :D

It's wicked when one of the dobermans get ahold of someone. Maimed kind of wicked. Un-responsive limb.

If you look on the net, there's several video clips available. They are definately not for the timid.

Chased by a monkey and screamed like a little girl at the age of 17.

    Stung by a bee.

At the age of 15, while dragging my tired body back from 3 days camping under a huge rain, i walked into five dogs seeking shelter under a coverd sidewalk. They were sitting in a formation, like the 5 dots in a dice. When they saw me, they barked and chased me. Again, i ran and scream like a little girl.

This one is a brutal attack. When i was 5, a huge butterfly stuck under my house's door (we had slide door), i sat there and watch the butterfly for god knows how long. Ever since than i have butterfly-phobia. What can be worse than mental damage?

A bee isn't an animal, it's an insect, as is Dementia's brother, I'd guess ;)

Once, in a farm in Wales, I (aged 10) climbed into a seemingly-empty pen with a "do not enter" sign on the gate. I realised my mistake when I was charged by two enormous boars with tusks the size of Kitrax's wiener. Not a pretty sight, and I certainly climbed over the gate pretty fast.
