Ankheg armor

    I gave the peep in Beregost an ankheg shell as soon as I could when I started playing. Now I am in day 60 ++, and the fellow shows me nothing. I recently gave him a new shell, and got 500 gp for it. Am I doing something wrong? I want that nice armor...

    Yes, you don't sell him the shell. IIRC you decline to sell it to him, and then he offers to make the armor out of it for you...

    Same kind of thing with the nymph's hair; you have to first decline to sell it, then the shopkeep will offer to make something out of it for you...

    If you sell him a shell, then he won't make you an armor if you bring him another shell IIRC. So next time tell him to make an armor first and then you can sell as much shells as you like.

    Hey Antoine - you got that the wrong way round - You can sell him as many ankheg shells as you like up until you ask him to make a suit of armour out of it for you, and then he will not buy anymore shells or make any more armour.

    Another thing to look out for is, no matter how many Ankheg shells you've got on your party he buys them ALL for 500. After finding that out I made sure when I came back with a few shells I dropped all but one, sold it, picked another one up, sold it, etc.

    I agree with wildfire that after making an ankheg armor, the smith wont buy any shell from you or make another shell for you.

    ps. There are 2 ankheg armor in the game. One is made by beregost smith, another in the southwest plantation in Nashal city
