Just wondering if there are any "bad" effects concerning "warping" out of an area to bypass that area? Will this have any effect on the rest of the game? I've played the game several times, with different main characters each time ... but have no real desire to go thru the underdark part this time. ...

    Thanks ...

I don't think you can just skip areas like that and continue playing in a new area... the game needs to set certain variables based on what quests you do and which areas you visit, and if you just skip a major area like that, I imagine the variables remain unset and will most likely make your progress impossible at some point.

As Taluntain said, warping out is definitely a bad idea. Too many variables.

If it's just the Underdark you want to get through with quickly, you can simply go directly to the Kuo Toa tunnels, and go to the Drow party guarding the doors. I've heard there are ways to convince them to let you out, but if you just kill them you can walk out (this is what you end up doing anyway if you take the long way and help Adalon)

Keep in mind you'll be missing out on A LOT of XP and loot.
