[IMG] I have a party of four, with a level 8 fighter, a level 8 ranger, a level fighter/thief, and a level 9 mage. My dwarf fighter has the +3 throwing axe, my ranger a composite long bow, my thief "spell diver" and a heavy crossbow, and my mage has presios dagger, but has many spells. I have no +2 arrows, so I really need help!!! Tips would be appreciated ed_likes_bread76x@msn.com

get in front with the mage and make her attack you... when she is after you go back and close the first door so the rest of the party can just pick her down... she will just try to attack the one she started to attack... works every time...

-Dwarven Fighter: Start off with throwing the axe. Then get in close to serve as a meat shield. But beware; Yxunomei's melee attacks can down an eighth-level fighter in a matter of seconds.

-Ranger: No +2 arrows, so Yux is immune to his archery prowess. He should serve to pick off the other Yuan-ti. There are some +2 arrows in the room with the High Archer, however.

-Thief: Spell Diver may prove useful (Yux uses Animate Dead, as well as a few other spells). If you have +2 bolts, that will be handy as well.

-Mage: Fireball, fireball, fireball. ;) Supportive magic such as Haste and Emotion are a must. If he does get caught in combat, be sure to have a Mirror Image or Shield available. If you have no SMD (Spells of Mass Destruction ;) ), then it won't be easy. Confusion and Summoning is perhaps your best bet.

Dusty, there's several tips if you scroll back through the pages.

If you have someone attack her immediately, and back them off through the doors, and close them behind her...

she's cutoff. You have have your *entire* party wail on just her. Then healup and rest, and clear out the rest of the level.

There's specific instructions on how to do it, and there's the proof that it works from one person who was asking the exact same question you are. Just go back a page or two, and look for references to Yux, Dragon's Eye, and Snake Goddess.

[IMG] I disarmed all the traps before the door. Then made sure my party was quite far from the door with yux in it. Sent fighter with boots of speed to the door, got yux all wound up and when she attacked, i ran back to join my party.
Then, as all the enemy come round the corner, open a can of snow storm from my mage, and magic missiles, acid arrows and flame arrows from my necromancer (who had the max number of 1st and 2nd level spells thanks to mage dagger +2 and a ring to double my 1st and 2nd level slots).
Then get my cleric with holy hammer(or whatever it is), my 2 figthers and f/t to do the heavy stuff.

The only mass destruction spell i had for the whole game was snow storm. I could never find a fireball.

Eh? Why did you need to export your thief?? Why not just save before attacking?
