Anybody knows a good pests control?

It seems that my system really needs a good one, beacuse my game is the most bugged in the entire history of the RPGs!!!!
I used to level squat my entire party around level 23- till 30 beacuse if you play it straight, you´ll never acomplished the final level.But those days are over, and I find my self enjoying the good-old-school kinda game,and when I´m entered in the eigth chambers,the whole thing colapsses.
My first character completes the first,second and third chamber without sweating, and the whole party gains enough xps to advance one level.-So far so good-, remember saying to my self,-let´s save the game and try the next chambers tomorrow.
I hit the "Q" key in my computer and turn my system off.
The next day,same time,same channel,when I reload the quicksaved game,a new "time vortex" expects me at the Black Raven monastery!!
Somehow, my entire party (I don´t know how) continues playing during nigthtime,with my PC completely OFF, and by now they are at the outstanding status of level 43!!!(next:divinity)
My barbarian /figther was around 1840 Hps,the "lay on Hands" of the paladin was abble to cure 756Hp,my sorcerer was memorized EIGTH level 9 spells,and the wizard has more than 750 hps.
So, how in the Hell´s name, is that possible?somebody explains me!!!!
Of course, when I reload a diferent(and older) slot, none of this happens,but I´m still asking:
How many bugs this IWD2 game have? Do we know them all? Or they are there just for our own amussement(and makes us access to internet pages like this one and make a new post)?

Try sending to Screenshot of the Week - I'm sure a few people would be amused at this.

I personally never quick-save/quick-load - I do it the "slow" way.

The only bug I seem to get regularly is the "missing" monsters in the Hook Horror/Duergar camp area - it turns out to be a problem with the multiplying jellies script. One SetGlobal cheat command and it is fixed though...

 

I send the image via e-mail so I will just sit and wait(and expects the best for my little screenshot).
Sadly, one of the rules of the SoTW post is that you have to send an image from the original languaje(english) and I don´t have that version(thanks to a bunch of politicians that doesn´t allow selling ANY foreing software without previous translation),only the spanish version.
But hey, life sucks with or without them(I only hope to live enough to see the "without" part), and I think that everybody will have the chance to behold the "oustanding" level that my PC aquires during nigthtime like I said before.

 

Hmm, this has wierd written all over it. Do you live with someone who might have messed with your game?

 

Not a chance, my wife is a Neardenthal in computer matters,and my child it´s only 2 years old.
Like I said, ¿it has something to do with the fact I saved the game without advancing the level (with the + icon on the top of the portrait)?

As you can see here, my game it´s in Spanish, but check out the stats and the HPs!!!!
How in the Hell´s name that could happens?
If this ain´t crazy multiclassing, I don´t know what could be...

I'm actually surprised by the stats in late 30ies alone. From just "real" stats and items that don't stack, it's quite high.

Really!

It is the 'curse' of eight chambers. (BUG!) Never ever save and exit your game before finishing all the chambers. You had better not start, or you should finish them all! Also, do not quick-save. NEVER. Always save to a different slot once you finish a chamber, name it:Finished Chamber X.

I think, for some reason, the game buffs of PCs to HoF level, like it does to all other monsters in game. So your characters get x3 plus +80 HP on top of their current HPs, massive stat and lvl boosts. Were you playing on HoF difficulty?

If you follow my advice you will not encounter this bug. Or so I hope. Tell us the results!

 

Wow, that's pretty extreme.

I can see no problem with saving without levelling up- after all, level squatting would barely be possible if this was the result. Indeed, I have saved without levelling up quite often and never had this bug.

 

Wow now THAT is certainly interesting ...

I remember it took me ages to do the 8 chambers on my first try and I saved and left the game countless times and this never happened to me ...

 

It was my HoF game, but after finished the eigth chambers, never happens again, so I have to admit that Silverstar is ABSOLUTELY RIGTH.
So, my game is not the only "bugged" in the world, and that´s why this site exists.¡Catarsis!
I only hope that the BI programmers finally learn to do a "decent" job and spray with venom the next product before they sell it (just for killing any remaining bug purpouses).

 

^I would say 'Amen, brother', but I do not think BI will develop more games like good old ones.
