    [IMG] I saw this and man did it ever take me back. It's an old CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Prime time report from when the internet was first becoming mainstream and making headlines.

    I thought everyone might get a kick out of it and enjoy the nostalgia. Things sure have changed. From as far as I can tell it seems to be around 1992-1994, can't say for sure though. Enjoy!

    There was a movie? - oops, I got distracted by the screensaver ads. :p

    Anyway, interesting, but I can remember when there was talk about replacing abacuses (abaci?) with a new-fangled device called a calculator. :xx:

    I remember back then! My dad really thought it was called the "Interweb" (mix between internet and Web I guess). Anyway, he refused to buy my family a computer so we could get on the web, he wouldn't even consider it when he found out that games could be played on it. :wail:

    So I did the next best thing, I used my neighbor's Apple/Mac/thing.... :borg:

    Then came 1999 and I first heard of Baldur's Gate, and I just had to get a computer once I had played it on another friend's PC. I finally got what I wanted in the early part of 2000, and the internet was mine to watch the fall of the .com empire! :eek:

    Ah, good times. :rolling:

    Oh, a distant, distant thing that has nothing to do with any of the boards, created by a fellow who was just recently awarded by a finnish award "Invention that has changed life" (not very exact translation) and british "knighthood."

    I can't hear what they say. After the video was loaded, it started to play. But not quite good. First really slow (for about 2 seconds) then a second really fas, I could hear some noise, then it paused, then it was played real fast again, paused again, fast, pause etc.

    Something I could do about that? (Played it in WinAmp, btw)

    Try downloading it to your computer Master. Sometimes the site does that. Also, try playing it in WMP.

    I understand you completely; the internet without porn is like a sandwich without 'Miracle Whip'.

    @Blue Loon

    That's not...um...entirely what I meant. :o I meant the interface. And lack of, well, structure.
