Has anyone read the newest Elminster book yet called Elminster's Daughter? I haven't read it. I was just wanting to know if it was good or not.

Also, does anyone know if there are any books with gelatinous cubes? Those things cracked me up in Hordes of the Underdark.

Yep, I read it. Wasn't great, was fairly good, but unless you haven't read the Drizzt saga I'd recomend that instead. It has some good parts in it but it ain't great.

No I can't say I have read anything about gelatinous cubes.

I have not read it but the other books in the Elminster series that I have read were just terrible.

As for gelatinous cubes, if there are any novels in which they appear I have not read them. The closest thing that I can remember reading is an encounter with a giant slug.

It's worth a read, though not the best from Greenwood. I actually liked most of the books in the Elminster series, though it's been a while since I've read them.
As for the gelatinous cubes, I thought there was one in either one of the early Drizzt books or in the Cleric Quintet.

I just read El in Myth Drannor. It's not THAT bad imo. :)
