    Ok, cant find the answer. Can you duel class an Archer, and if so what are the pre requesits? I just started a new game with an Archer protagonist and got no duel class button. Help.

    I think the only valid dual option for Ranger is Cleric. However, you need at least 17 in the prime stat of the class you're dualing to (wisdom for cleric) and 15 in the prime stat of your original class (I believe it's constitution for rangers). So that might explain why you can't dual. I hope someone else can confirm this.

    Oh, and if you're planning on dualing an archer to a cleric, make sure you put your prof. points in slings and NOT bows!

    IIRC the only Rangers that can dual to cleric are Beastmasters and "pure" Rangers.

    I recall from an earlier thread that you can't dual class an archer, not even to a cleric. Plus I don't believe an archer can get grand mastery in slings (although I'm not sure what he/she can get).

    I managed to Dualclass an archer a long time ago but that feels like ancient history so i may be mistaken, and Besides archers don't reley solely on ranged weapons their basically a ranger that can only wear leather armour, and as for proficencies they can duel weild just as good as the vanilla class.

    Yes, but they can only get 1 proficiency star in anything except for longbows and shortbows.

    Really? The archer cannot get five stars in crossbows, slings, or darts? That SUCKS! Please someone verify this (I would but don't have my disks here!)

    In my patched, unmodded ToB installation Archers are allowed grandmastery in longbows, shortbows, and crossbows; specialization in slings and darts; and proficiency in everything else.

    Meatdog is right--only true-class rangers and beastmasters can dual-class and only to cleric.
