Arming Jaheira

    I always arm her with a scimitar and shield. The +5 scimitar is quite powerful and with the right shield, armour and other stuffs, I always set her to100% fire/cold/electric resistance, but I also heard about arming her with 2-handed weapons, like staff of ram or that +6 spear. Which do you perfer?

    (I wanted to post a poll on it, but think that it might be pointless, as I want to know why you choose this weapon or that weapon.)

    jaheira can use maces and flails too right?

    but i mostly do the same as you, i either equip spectral brand, flail of ages (if my fighter use it i use the flail gronmir drops) or storm star +5

    i wished she could use scarlet ninja-to +3 :(

    At the beguining of the game, as you aren't able to find any magical scimitar I gave her a +3 spear I found in the armory of a house. Later on I could buy the +4 staff, but I had already spent a point in spear proficiency. At the end I didn't regret, because I took the Sahuagin King's grim spear that causes an extra 10 hit points of damage :eek: , and it ROCKS!!

    yup, spears isnt as bad as people say it is.

    Only clubs suck really as the only club above +4 is club of detonation (after upgrade) which kills your party instead of killing the enemy lol.

    anyway, just wait until you also get ixils pike +5 (or is it +6) :)

    I don't think she can use non-druidic weapons like flails, but I could be wrong. Early on, I usually arm her with a shield and a scimitar and then darts or a sling. Her split class makes her HP lower than that of a similar pure fighter, and so I like her to have as much protection as she can get. Later in the game when the HP gets higher and she also has more spells that can cover her hiney (like Ironskins, for instance) I will give her a heavy duty staff or spear.

    I have Jaheira with the Spectral Brand +5 and the Darksteel Sheild +4 (pile up those elemental resistances baby!).

    During the climax of Ascension, once all the resurrected Bhaalspawn are dead, Jaheira switches over to the Staff of the Ram +6.

    Whether or not Melissan has activated her Absolute Immunity power, Jaheira's ready to lay the smack on her.

    Gotta go with Spectral Brand and the Shield of Harmony. As a fighter it doesn't seem in character for her to wield a puny club or staff. And she's gotta have the black dragon scales. No self-respecting druid is gonna have anything but leather or hide armour.

    I agree that spears a pretty good, however, in the game where I took Jaheira into the party, I gave her the Flail of the Ages and a shield (which changed several times, as I found better ones).

    Spectral Brand and a shield first, Ixil's ekhm... Spear +6 later.

    Jaheira and Flail of Ages, how so? Either it was Viconia... or I sense a tweak here.

    Ultimately, Sweetie... err.. Jaheira herself is a weapon :D Ironskin etc etc, all those blessings, summoning a weapon or two... or just wildshape. She's a go getter ;)

    The Staff Mace is a good idea, and available very early in the game. This weapon is one of my favorites for the start of the game, and everybody seems to overlook it. It does 2d4+2 damage and uses the staff proficiency, yet is one handed and wields like a mace. Great for sword and shield combat. This should get her through most of the early game. And of course, any strength-boosting item and the Sling of Seeking are an excellent choice as well.
