    Full Plate Mail +1 -
    This is found on Tamako just before the final battle.Tamako is in the Undercity in front of the Bhaal Temple.

    My point is JUST BEFORE FINAL BATTLE!

    Why is it so late in the game, You can get
    better earlier look: (makes no sense to me)

    Ankheg Plate -
    AC: 1, Weight: 25. One can be made for you another can be found on the Nashkel map, in the field. Coords are x = 186, y = 2744, AR4800.

    i wonder why they did that

    (and why is Ankheg Plate that nasty puke green (lol))

    Full Plate +1 has an AC of -1 which is better than the Ankheg Plate AC of 1.

    I don't see the problems... Weight isn't a problem for a good fighter has at least strength 16 and then it isn't a problem to wear. But you can get full plates early in the game and also lot's of rings of Protection +1 and a full plate + ring of protection +1 is better then a Full Plate +1 for:

    1. AC is the same but with the ring you have better saving throws
    2. A full plate +1 is a magic item that makes it unable to wera also some other magic items.

    Full Plate +1 might not be of much use in original game since you get it that late, but there's also the expansion... Or replaying the game.

    In TotSC I've found a plate armor +3 (or is it +2?). It shines golden and is really cool on my paladin :D

    With DarkSide you can get Crystal Armor --- wearable by mages!!!(since it's crystal instead of metal, I guess)

    I dont know if you can get it here but I havent seen it.

    I use anakeg plate mail for my clirc and let my fighter have full plate and the ring of protection +2 you get off the mage in BG with the tall tower.

    Regardless, full plate will always be better than plate if only because of the inherant ac bonuses to certain types of damage that full plate has. However, the golden plate found in Durlag's tower, combined with the large shield with the ac bonus of three found in Durlag's tower as well and defender makes for about the lowest ac you can get in BG.
