Ashdown Caught On Tape: Bosnia's Dictator Seen Inspecting Kla Weapons And
    Promising Assistance To Terrorists

    Written by: Andy Wilcoxson

Slobodan Milosevic continued to destroy Paddy Ashdown's credibility during
his trial at the Hague Tribunal on Thursday where he re-examined Gen.
    Bozidar Delic.

Milosevic presented an explosive videotape of Ashdown to the tribunal. The
videotape opens with a uniformed KLA terrorist presenting his rifle to
Ashdown for inspection. After inspecting the firearm, Ashdown is taken to
view an arms cache where he can be seen inspecting several more weapons. The
audio on the tape is rather poor, but Ashdown can be heard promising to
inform Prime Minister Blair of the situation and saying that he will "do his
    best" to procure assistance.

Interestingly, when Ashdown testified on March 15, 2002, he spoke about a
visit he made to the village of Studencani where he says he inspected a
number of weapons. Ashdown claimed that "villagers" had procured the weapons
so that they could stave off reprisals by having something to give to the
Serbian Police in the event that they came around asking for the surrender
    of weapons.

The fact that Ashdown's so-called "villagers" were, in fact, members of the
KLA proves that he was lying during that part of his testimony. Obviously,
the KLA wasn't procuring weapons because they wanted to give them away as
some sort of present to the Serbian police. The KLA wanted to procure
weapons in order to kill the Serbian Police.

Milosevic proceeded to question Gen. Delic about Ashdown's latest
recollection of where he was at when he said he saw Serbian troops shelling
several Kosovo villages. When Ashdown testified on March 14, 2002 he said
that he was in Albania looking into Kosovo. Now Ashdown says that he was in
    Kosovo itself.

Gen. Delic said that Ashdown cold not have been in Kosovo at the location he
now gives. If Ashdown had been there, especially for the four hours he
claims, then he would have been arrested. Delic explained that the border
between Albania and Kosovo was sealed to prevent arms trafficking and that
the frequent VJ patrols which were in that area at the time Ashdown gives
    would have arrested him.

Furthermore, Delic testifies that Ashdown couldn't have seen all of the
places he claims to have seen, even from the new location he's now giving.
To prove his point Delic offered to accompany ICTY investigators to the spot
    and show them.

During the re-examination Milosevic asked Delic several questions about the
30th Personnel Center of the VJ. Delic explained that this personnel center
paid salaries, pensions, and welfare benefits to former JNA soldiers who
were deployed in Republika Srpska as members of the VRS. Delic said that the
personnel center was only intended to assist soldiers and their families. He
said it did not issue orders.

Delic also answered several questions about the SCG Bureau for Cooperation
with the ICTY. He spelled out the Bureau's objectives, which were: to
provide legal assistance to those dealing with the tribunal and to provide
facts and documents relevant to ICTY investigations.

During the cross-examination, Mr. Nice read out a Bureau document which he
claimed said that the Bureau opposed "voluntary" cooperation with the ICTY.
It turns out that Mr. Nice misspoke (or lied); the document really said that
the Bureau opposed "arbitrary", or forced, cooperation with the ICTY.

Following the final conclusion of Gen. Delic's testimony, Bogoljub Janicevic
resumed his examination-in-chief. Janicevic is the former chief of the
    Urosevac SUP.

Janicevic presented several pages of documents showing that Serbian police
officers were arrested and prosecuted whenever they committed crimes. These
documents prove that the Serbian Government did not turn a blind eye to
police misconduct in Kosovo. This is not the first time such documents have
been exhibited, Col. Paponjak and Gen. Stevanovic presented similar
    documents when they testified.

The witness also presented the court with detailed statistics on crimes
committed in the area of the Urosevac SUP's responsibility. These documents
showed that the KLA was very active and required an urgent police response.

From 1998 until mid-1999, in the Urosevac area alone, the KLA purpetrated
    118 terrorist attacks killing 125 people (75 civilians, 18 policemen, and 32
VJ soldiers; of the civilians killed 18 were Albanans, and 57 were
non-Albanians). The KLA kidnapped 137 people: they released 50, 5 were found
dead, and the fate of the rest is unknown.

These statistics show that the KLA terrorized Albanians and non-Albanians
alike. The Serbian Government would have been remiss in its duties had it
not sought to eliminate the KLA.

Janicevic will continue his testimony on Friday.

[IMG] Hard to say which is more amusing (or sad, depending on your point of view), the headline or the site itself. Might as well provide the full link ( http://www.slobodan-milosevic.org/ ) so that others can get a few laughs. Among other things, the site will tell you that the Srebrenica massacre never happened.

You really need to look into providing reports from more credible sources than Milosevic's propaganda machine if you expect an actual discussion.

The last paragraph in the biography on that site pretty much sums it all up:

Milosevic is a symbol representing a large part of Serbia and as such will always have a large number of supporters and apologists. Unfortunately, he is also a symbol of all that is rotten in Serbia, from rampant regular nationalism and ultra-nationalism to the holy crusade for the Great Serbia, an idea that keeps coming up in the history of the nation like a plague. At best it only subsides for a few years, but it always bounces back. And for as long as that will keep happening, and for as long as so many Serbians keep refusing to acknowledge historical facts about Serbia's role in the Balkan wars of the last 15 years, there's little hope for the Serbian nation to be ever considered a part of civilized Europe.

The nationalist mentality has always been an issue in the Balkans, but Serbia seems to be the only remaining country totally oblivious to the fact that large-scale nationalism has no place in the Europe of today.

Taluntain, read the name of the writter: Andy Wilcoxson. That is not even a Slavic name. That makes the article pretty neutral and unbiased to begin with.
It is hosted in a pro-Milosevic site, indeed, but the author is pretty much on neutral field. I dont know why it can not be discussed.
As for the great Serbia, that is BS. What people call Great Serbia, is nothing more than historical Serbian lands. Dont forget Kosovo is a holy Orthodox Serbian land.
PS: Where are the bodies of the thousands of victims claimed on Serbian hands?
    CCCC!

No, it doesn't really. He's a regular on the Slobo forums. And I wouldn't be surprised if the name was an alias.

As for the fact that Great Serbia is BS, I agree wholeheartedly. 3/4 of what is today Austria and large chunks of Croatia and Italy used to belong to Carantania (along with most of the area of modern Slovenia) over a 1000 years ago, but you don't see Slovenes claiming Austria is still their own land today. Pretty much every nation has historically spanned either a considerably larger (or smaller) area, but the time for making property claims is gone. We're in a historical period where European borders are for the large part set and unmovable. One of the largest benefits of the EU is protection of border sovereignty of member nations, reducing the chance of border wars among the members to a practical impossibility.

This, of course, can be for better or worse, depending on where you are located. Slovenes have been historically deprived of enormous chunks of our land by force, but that's how it is. There's always someone better organized or with a larger army around. So if a country wants to join the EU, accepting its current borders figures into it significantly, even if it is unfair. But the general consensus is that it is still better than starting another war over it. A war, which would today ultimately fail, because it's obvious where the power is concentrated and that the US, if no one else, will ultimately act as judge and jury - a lesson which Serbia had to learn the hard way.

As for Srebernica - please, you do yourself no credibility favours by denying it. It is an established historical fact today. Hundreds of bodies from mass graves have already been exhumed and identified, but considering the number of people killed (and the reburial "efforts" of the Serbs), it will take a long time before every single mass grave is located and exhumed. Educate yourself on the subject at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Srebrenica_massacre where you'll even find pictorial evidence and stills from the recently discovered video of the "good old days", when several executions have been filmed.

Taluntain, where are you from, if you dont mind me asking? Slovenia? Because you seem to be acquaintanced with these matters...
Anyway, I agree we can not change borders like that, but fact is some lands were grossly stolen from the Serbs, and some will sooner or later be given back, even if through War. And when the time comes, Russia will not be so pathetically weak to allow the US to bomb our brothers like that.
Also, dont forget both Slovenia and Croatia had their leaders rule their time, but when it was time of a Serbian ruler, they decided to pull out from the Jugoslavia.
You are also forgetting when Croatia declared independence, they started to massacrate their Serbian minority.
Srebrenica is not non-existant, but it is greatly exaggerated, which is why "Western peace forces" are having a bad time finding out all the bodies claimed for murder.
Also, Serbians were as massacrated as everyone else, but they were chosen to be demonized by the West. For many reasons, like being eternal allies of Russia; being Orthodox Christians; being a proud people not willing to give up their Culture for the NWO; the fact Croatia has always been an ally to the West. In the end, it all comes down to the fact the West wanted to meddle in the Balkans, and to implement their ways into them. They do not accept people opposed to the NWO.
germany, among others, were for a long time inducing turmoil in the region, and we all know how it ended, which is a pity.
Lastly, we all know the albanian lobby in the US. They sure contributed a lot to the whole mess. They and warmongers such as Madelaine Albright - which was saved from the nazis by a Serbian family, but I doubt she knows gratitude.

    Yes, I'm from Slovenia.

As for "grossly stolen lands" etc. As I said, every nation could start singing that tune and the wars around the world would never end. One side wins a war, takes back "their" land, and a bit more while they're at it, then you have "peace". Until the other side becomes strong enough to strike back, starting a war to reclaim "their" land. If they win, they take back "their" land, and some more. Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, ad infinitum. Obviously any rational person will see that this is only a way back to the Dark Ages, not progress. If you know anything about history, you know that the worst wars in history have happened just because of the perceived need for additional lebensraum. This has been an excuse for war for centuries, if not millenia. But it's nothing more than another excuse to justify a war.

And please, do me a favour and don't try to lecture me on a war I've seen and experienced first hand, and history I've lived through. It doesn't match up to your picture of it. Slovenia has been a milking cow of Yugoslavia for as long as we've been part of it. All the money always went straight to Belgrade, and all the power was also concentrated there. Half of Yugoslavia was living at our expense, and dictated everything for us, so it just came to a point when we said "no more!" and went our separate way. And we've achieved more in 15 years of independence than all the other former-YU countries will in decades to come.

What Croatia did or didn't do is disputable, but it's again not so clear-cut as you'd like to make it (as usual).

As for how Srebrenica is grossly-exaggerated, you keep telling yourself that while more and more bodies are exhumed. But hey, there are plenty of people around today claiming the Holocaust never happened, so such denials really don't surprise me much.

As for your NWO conspiracy theories... oh, boy. If the West really wanted to meddle into the Balkan affairs, they would have done it way sooner than only when it came to the point the wars and massacres were so out of control that the whole world was crying for something to be done. This is how it always has been in the Balkans, and the US intervention didn't do anything to change the Serbian mindset. It only made them think of themselves as the victims, biding their time for revenge (again). If I use a metaphor, Serbia is like a child exhibiting moronic behaviour; instead of going around the wall, it rather bashes its head to a bloody pulp trying to bring down the brick wall through sheer persistence. And every time it's pulled back by an adult, it only waits in the corner for a while until the adult goes away, and then start slamming its head into the wall all over again. For as long as this sort of caveman mentality remains so deeply rooted in Serbia, there's no hope of any sort of progress there. Either political, economic or social.

And so far Slovenia is the only country that has managed to prove it can raise beyond the tribal, nationalist mentality that so pervades the Balkans and never brings anyone anything but grief, on any side.

I dont like to disregard the testimony of people who went through the experiences in discussion, even more if it is a painful one, but I disagree with some of your claims, and although I did not live in Jugoslavia during the Wars, I know people who did. Anyway:

So, by your logic, operantly there is not such thing as true injustice, land grabs, conquest, imperialism, etc, it has all just been an “excuse”. You can also believe that the world is flat or whatever, that doesn't change the realities of the world. In this case the realities are that R.Srpska, Kosovo, Vojvodina, CrnaGora and at least some part of Krajina is Serbian land (just as Hercegovina is Croatian land). The only reason that all of these lands aren't directly a part of Serbia is because some communist bastard decided that it suits him better to draw the boarders they way they were drawn. There is absolutely nothing even remotely like the concept of “lebensraum” here, before the war all of these lands already had Serbian majorities and democratically voted for independence. Why is it that Croatia or Slovenia has the right to vote to leave Jugoslavija and become independent, yet at the same time Krajina cannot do so.

First of all if you are referring to the way in which Slovenia left Jugoslavija it is anecdotal to call that a “war”. Second, if you think Slovenia was feeding half of Jugo, you are simply beyond delusional. Slovenia has a fine economy, but it's a tiny country with a tiny population and little if any natural resources. If you look at the Slovene economy today it is mostly based on services (as are most modern economies), there is simply nothing that Slovenia has that would feed or provide for the rest of Jugoslavija.

    http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/si.html#Econ
    Labor force - by occupation:
    agriculture 6%, industry 40%, services 55% (2002)

Similarly, Slovenia also benefited economically from all kinds of resources that were needed to run industry. In any case it absolutely ridiculous to claim that Slovenian economic success has anything to do with the reasons you provided. Slovenia is a small country with a homogeneous population, which did not suffer any real conflicts or ethnic strides that destroyed the rest of Jugo. Stability is one of the first prerequisites for a healthy economy, nothing more nothing else.

As for all the money going to Belgrade, it was the capital and in all countries all the money goes to the central government. Belgrade was the biggest city of the biggest republic, why shouldn't it have been the capital of Jugoslavija?

I'll make this as clear cut for you as it can get,
    1991 croation population: 14.5% Serbs
    2001 croation population: 4.54% Serbs
    enought said.

First of all it is rather pointless to bring up the Holocaust in a situation that is clearly of different proportions. Second of all, what happened at Srebrenica was quite sad, but it is one of many places, there are many more where Serbs were killed by Muslims, where Muslims were killed by Croats, where Serbs were killed by Croats, etc. etc. The only true reason that we are speaking of Srebrenica now and not of any other place because it is an excuse to try to pin the while war and all the crimes assositated with it on Serbs alone.

No, the West clearly could NOT have meddled in Eastern Europe in general until the fall of the SU whether they wanted it or not. That's a clear fact that isn't debatable. It is the exactly in the same way not debatable that it is in the interest of the US and the West in general to have the Balkans dominated by pro-Western countries and nation. That is the only reason that West is anti-Serbia, they only do what is in their best interest, that should be obvious to anyone. The bottom line here is that all Serbian lands should and will be united in a single country (as all Slovene lands are united in a single country). There is nothing moronic, childish or anything of the sort here.

Well you certainly have a high opinion of yourself. This has nothing to do with attitudes or anything else you claim, only the fact that Slovenia wasn't destroyed by war and ethnic conflict because it's a tiny and homogeneous country.

I'll stay out of the balkan issue since I have not read anything about it nor do I much care, it's a horrible mess which I currently have no interest of finding out about but I just wanted to say a bit about land demands in general. I assume that when you are demanding these areas to Serbia you are just as willing to let go of karealia as it by all accounts has been a finnish terretory? Not to mention the amount of historical Lithaunic terretory that Russia still has. As Tal said the time to make terretorial demands is over, it does not work that way. Two millenias of war and two world wars have taught that to most of Europe , too bad some have still failed to learn the lesson.

No. I never said such a thing. But only a very, very minute amounts of wars have been what you could call "fair and justified". Even if the intent was only to achieve justice, it hardly ever stopped at just that, as I've pointed out in my previous posts. And looking specifically at the Balkan area, if everyone there started wars based on what has been and perceived historical injustices, they'd still be killing each other for the next 1000 years, or until one side wiped the other out - which has been attempted before on a number of occasions. That's the idea of the "final solution" for many Serbs.

They didn't. Both were attacked by JLA as soon as the intent was made clear. We got off lucky with only a brief war. Croatia and all the other more southern countries weren't so lucky. No one got a free ticket out. The only way was to fight your way our. Serbia wasn't about to just let anyone go.

You've misunderstood what I wrote. I didn't mean feed in the literal sense of providing food, but in a monetary sense.

And a lot has changed here over the last 15 years, so looking at recent data is obviously completely pointless. Especially only the data for Slovenia. The standard of living in Slovenia is and was several times higher than in Serbia. I.e. Slovenia had and has way more money per capita than Serbia. You've conveniently left that out.

As for how we didn't "suffer any real conflicts or ethnic strides that destroyed the rest of Jugo", huh, yea, that happened AFTER Yugoslavia broke up. And you need to look up who attacked whom after that.

No, not really. Certainly not in democratic countries. And the money is supposed to be redistributed in such a case and some of it going back, not all of it staying there. Look up the current situation in Serbia. A stinking den of corruption on all levels of society and politics. You think money there was redistributed fairly? Think again. It was either used up in Serbia considering its standard was that much lower, or went into the pockets of some corrupt officials.

Right. It's all in those two figures. Everything else is just unimportant details.

I'll really have to draw the :bs: card here. Since it seems you haven't noticed, please look up which countries the war criminals to be tried at Hague are still being hunted at. Let me give you a hint: Croatia and Serbia especially. Getting Gotovina into Hague is the only way Croatia is going to get into the EU. So how everyone is only blaming the Serbs is total BS. Blame is given where it is due, nothing more.

Too bad that idea doesn't hold water if you consider the fact that mostly everyone in the former YU area is also against Serbia. But I'm sure you have an explanation for that too... Let's see: Slovenia is now a Western country (so obviously under NWO influence), Croatians are bastards who want to kill all the Serbs anyway, Bosnians should have just shut up and died when it was their turn, and those degenerate Albanians should just bow to their masters and stop pretending they have any claim to the land they're living on. Did I sum it up about right?

Oh, and just as a BTW, a large part of "Slovenian lands" were literally stolen by Italy after WW2 with the help of the UK, and another large chunk by Austria in a plebiscite, which turned out to have been falsified results-wise. Parts of our land have even been stolen by Croats, who are still at it to date, trying to grab more. So do we have lost land to cry about? You bet. But we've also got brains enough to tell us we can't attack either Italy or Austria to get it back. And while the majority of the population would like nothing more than to beat down the insolent Croats, we've never been at war with them before, and we're doing our best at keeping that way, even though it includes much grinding of teeth and swallowing down.

But if Slovenia was populated by Serbs, I wouldn't be surprised if we'd be waging war on all sides of our borders by now.

Credit where credit is due, and we're talking about facts here. As for how it has nothing to do with our attitude, sure, I'll trust you on that. As usual, you know better than everyone else, even one of the people living here. Comical.

[IMG] That's a bug in the board software, it happens when you put quote tags inside quote tags, but since there aren't any in your previous post, it must be something else there. At that length, I can't really tell.

Anyway, just save any of your text from it (if there is any), and edit it back in along with the links. Don't paste in entire articles, ever. That's a copyright violation, and just plain redundant. You can post excerpts here if you have something you particularly want to draw attention to, but otherwise simply post links.

Seems rather a departure of form for you to credit a Communist/Stalinist source Svy.

We can not reshape borders as they were 1000 years before. However, there is absolutely no justification that a land like Krajina be taken away from the Serbians like that. It is curious to note you mention Serbians wanted to create a Great Serbia, and you also say nowadays it is no longer admissible to make territorial claims. However, Krajina was stolen away from the Serbians not 500 years ago, but in the last War in the Balkans, wherein people were fighting against "Serbian expansion". What is the logic? I guess it is like israel. In each deffensive War they partake, they actually expand their territory, which is, at least, curious to note.

Well, that is because Croats were clearly on the intent of ethnically cleansing the Serbians - 200 thousand souls from Krajina dont let me lie.
Lets not mention the albanians and bosnians muslims...
Anyway, you fail to address my main point. You wanted to leave, that is ok, but when Krajina - which was composed mostly by Serbians - wanted to succeed and join Serbia, Croats attacked them and started to mass murder people.

I know, which is still not true. Slovenia is fairly small, and was hardly the economical powerhouse of Jugoslavia.

Not that is becoming an ego battle. I dont mean to discuss who is superior, or more developed, either you or the Serbians. However, to claim Slovenia was the major economical power behind Jugoslavia is simply not true.

    You mean Croats attacking Krajina?

Yes, it is all a big Serbian conspiracy. you forget Tito was half Croat and half Slovene, and he drawn the borders of Jugoslavia at his own volition, with no respects for ethnic lines, which ended up pretty bad to the Serbians. He actually encouraged albanians to move out to Kosovo & Metohija. I fail to see how Jugoslavia was a Serbian dictatorship, seeing how the main man behind it prejudiced the Serbians so much.

Wait, the ethnical cleansing of the Serbians is a small detail? Maybe only Srebrenica is considered genocide in your agenda.

You should read the links I provided really. By the way "only real solution for Kosovo is independence…" in the words of Janez Drnovsek himself! It always works like that, people provoke all they want, and when the other part reacts whinning ensues. Now you all other Balkan people have UN behind your backs, but this situation will not keep forever.
The blame is always on the shoulders of the Serbians, but with quotes like that, I wonder who are the ones ensuing conflict and bad blood. Sheer provocation!

Well, is it a lie that Slovenia is a wanna-be Western Country? Is it a lie that since WWII Serbians have been ethnically cleansed by Ustashas, bosnian muslims, albanians - all of whom had SS units by the way?
Is it a lie that Tito encouraged albanians to Kosovo& Metohija? Now Kosovo & Metohija has become albanian land? By which right?

To each his own I guess. However, that does not change the fact some injusticies have to be corrected. If you dont want to fight for your rights, there are some who want to.

If you tried to expell or ethnically cleanse them, as it was tried in both Krajina and Kosovo & Metohija, you bet.

Yes, I will not take away credit from you. However, the reasons I have mentioned certainly favoured you.
Anyway, the fact I did not live through the Wars is not a real argument. It is very easy to deny other people's view on the subject, on the basis that they "were not there".
Anyway, I know people who did, and their facts and general view of the conflicts is opposite to yours. Why should I take your opinion over them?

    Morgoroth,

If you want to talk about "Lithuanian" territories, we might do so in a different thread. As for Karelia, it has nothing to do with Kosovo & Metohija and Krajina really. We can talk about that in a different thread as well.

    Carcaroth,

Oh really? I was not aware. I have never visited this site before, and I only did because Talutain asked that I provided links instead of pasting the articles.
However, I would have to check on Diana Johnston - the woman who wrote the article - to know if she is a commie or something. Her article does not seem to contain a single pro commie crap though. On the contrary, leftists are the first to stand up for the albanians and muslims against "Serbian devils" in the West. I would be surprised really.

I don't really feel like continuing a debate that I consider finished nearly 3 weeks ago, so let's just leave it at the fact that you argue in favour of the ultra-nationalists in Serbia that have brought the country to ruin again and again, and that I argue against this philosophy and mindset. You're obviously not going to convince me of anything you're claiming, and you flat out deny most of what I'm saying, so let's just save both of us some time.

Sorry for the delay, but it could not be helped. I just wanted to add I dont hold anything against any Catholic Balkanic Slavs, like Slovenes and Croatians. Yes, I know you probably dont care either way, but I felt like making it clear anyway.
