    Fallout fans can't wait for Atomfall, signaling excitement for an RPG not developed by Bethesda

    Given that a new Fallout game has been canceled "effective immediately," there should be some optimism for the Fallout community

    Xbox players are fired up for the release of Atomfall, an anticipated competitor to the hit-RPG franchise Fallout, which won't have a new title out for some time.

    This next game is being developed by Rebellion, which is well-known for the Sniper Elite franchise. The fact that this post-apocalyptic scenario is based on a real-life occurrence sets it apart from others. "A survival-action game inspired by real-life events, Atomfall is set five years after the Windscale nuclear disaster in Northern England. Explore the fictional quarantine zone, scavenge, craft, barter, fight and talk your way through a British countryside setting filled with bizarre characters, mysticism, cults, and rogue government agencies," its description reads.
