Just saw a report that the movie is now available over the web as well as on the street. Apparently stealing the movie is now a billion dollar industry and though the movie will still do tremendously well it is expected to take a real hit because of this.

Ep2 was on the web shortly after they finished filming it. Not that I am involved in such affairs, but I have . . . connections . . . to attain . . . nevermind.

It's been out for sure for a week. But it's not going to take that much of a hit out of AOTC. 90% of the spoiled fans at The Force.Net want nothing to do with the bootleg. And the ones who have it, have said they are definitely going to see this in the theatre.

Seeing it on your computer does not do it justice. Not by a long shot, you'll see.

It may even be a good thing. I was at work the other day, and one of co-workers talked about how he had seen the bootleg and would not stop raving about the movie. It got everyone excited.

[IMG] I've been purposely trying to stay away from spoiler sites, reviews, and people talking about the movie in grocery store lines! I've seen the trailer and a few things BIg B has posted, but that's it!!! I've even been shying away from the fansites.

What I have seen excites the hell out of me!!! Only 3 more days!!!! I'm going to dust off my robe and polish the chrome on my lightsaber....

Which reminds me: Does anyone here actually dress up to go to the shows? I never have (well, except for the Rocky Horror Picture Show - but that's required!), maybe if I lived in NYC or LA...They expect it there! If you dressed up, what would you go as?

On a side note, you can buy the book, which is written by RA Salvatore, right now if you wish :)

I haven't purposefully avoided spoilers, but until now I have only read some of Big B's stuff and seen a single trailer. I rememher Epi 1, I had spoiled myself rotten.... not this time. I am waiting for being glued to me sdeat my jaw on the floor very eagerly.

And, of course, if I get a change after seeing the movie abouth five times to get the bootleg, I will. As I will get the VHS and DVD releases the moment they arrive to the stores. Oh, and the comic book version I am struggling to not to get at the moment...

Well, I've seen most of the trailors for it and read the book, but I would still prefer seeing the movie in a cinema as opposed to on my computer screen or whatever. You just can't have the same atmosphere at a computer that you have in a huge screeened cinema. I can't wait till Saturday - I'm seeing it at Leceister Square :D

[IMG] I think the bottom line is anyone who is willing to either buy the book or a bootleg copy of the movie is interested enough to see the movie in the theater for real. I can't imagine any fan saying "hey I bought the E2 book, but I don't care to see the movie." Highly unlikely. Seeing the movie at the theater will be the true measuring bar for 99% of us. Nothing less will really do. After that we will form our opinions for good or bad.

I'd go as Bobba Fett (if he's in this, I've seen his pic on the trailer).

When I was 12 I took an empty 5-gallon ice cream tub, cut eye slits, and made myself a Bobba Fett helmet. I was the coolest geek on my block. I think I'm going to make another one of those, strap a missle on my back, and walk to a downtown theater. I think the police will just love me then!!! Heck, they might even put me on CNN....but they'd be calling me Elkaida-Fett ;)
