Attacks per round

    Attacks per round.
I notice that level 9 fighter in BG1 has 3 attacks per round and in BG2 3/2 attacks pr.

    Now what is the difference?!
First I thought it's 1,5 attacks pr, but that can't be it since some characters have a nice fractional number next to 1.

    Oh man!!!

it means you have 3 attacks pr 2 rounds, not sure which round you get 1 and which round you get 2 in

the reason to that would be, I suppose, is that grandmastery in BG gives a full extra attack. So, 3 attacks in BG would be reduced to 2 attacks per round in BG2. Also, if you aren't specialized in a weapon, you don't get a 1/2 bonus so the attacks per round would be reduced to 3/2 for a level 9 fighter.

3/2 attacks per round means you have 3 attacks in 12 real time seconds. You could have the 2 attacks in the first round or in the second depending on your weapon speed but overall only 3 attacks per 2 rounds.

    hope this helps :)

[IMG] I still don't fully understand and probably never will :p but that's ok I get the gist of it. The more attacks per round the better, the lower the speed factor the better, and hey I leave it at that :D

Oh, I see... I suppose I need that fix for BG2 then.

One more thing I need to know if you would please.
Whats the pattern in which a warrior gets more attack per round? Every how many levels?

if I am not mistaken, a warrior gets an extra 1/2 attack every 6 levels after level one.

so, 3/2 attacks at level 7
    2 attacks at lev 13
5/2 attacks at lev 19 etc..

Also there's the 1/2 weapon specialization attack bonus :)

Yeah, but why did my warrior (master in large sword) get an extra 1/2 attack per round when he leveled up to level 9??

since you have more Xp than the game was supposed to, then the programming perhaps doesn't support the normal rules. Invoker's last list gives you the correct details.

At level 9 you get an extra weapon proficiency so you might have spend it on Grand mastery; or the game thinks you have?

in case of 3/2, the second attack comes in round two. So if you retreat after round two and comes back into fight then you start all over at a brand new round one.
