I was wondering why my lvl 25 Barb using +4 Halbred is not getting 5 attacks per round. The manual says I should have a Base BAB of 25/20/15/10/5 so 5 attacks. Is this a bug? I also tried using a short sword +5 same problem.

you get only 4 attacks normally, afaik. for the fifth you can use dualwielding, haste, rapid shot, or an item that grands additional attacks. ...

Actually...for dual wielding (if you have all the feats), you get 2 attacks per attack. 1 attack = 1 strike per weapon. Add cleave and great cleave into the mix, and you can do around 20 attacks per round (under the right circumstances). Its kind of why 3ed and 3.5ed is often reffered to as god-moding edition.

Do you get all 20 in the game, or just P&P?

P&P, I guess. But technically you should get it in the game too.

The manual is wrong. You only ever get 4 attacks per round as max, unless you use one of the things lefuet mentioned, then you get 5. Of those, only Rapid Shot and dualwielding allow the fifth attack per round be made with anything else than +0 base attack bonus.

What you actually gain by having Cleave is still rather hazy as no one has done extensive testing on that. (Note to self: TEST IT!) But it SEEMS like you just get a free attack roll, instantly, upon fullfilling the requirements for it. Gotta test if Greater Cleave would allow a level 20+ dude clear normal mode Goblin Cave/Warrens in a single round - playtesting to date suggests otherwise, but nothing is confirmed. (?)

Edit: I mean, if Greater Cleave works as advertised, you should be machine-gunning normal mode weak goblins just as fast as they can clump around you.
