Avariel in 3rd Ed pnp

    Some friends of mine and I decided to get a gaming group together...the DM completely and utterly banned any idea of a powergaming race, but a friend of mine nevertheless asked if he could play an Avariel (winged elf). I know those are hardly standardized but I was wondering if anyone had any information on Avariel in general, and an Avariel PC specifically.

    they've been left out of any book I know of. Personally for PC specifics, I'd use a normal elf with wings, but ECL +1. Of course the DM should decide the ECL depending on how useful being able to continually fly would be.

    as for background info on the race, I think you need to search among some older editions of d&d.
