Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance date?

    Cool, I didn't even know about this game!

    Go to http://www.blackisle.com, There is a link to screenshots and reviews about this game. Shoot, I read it will be available only for PS2 :( :almostmad: Nothing about a release date, I think they don't know yet, or they don't wanna tell it for many games are delayed last time.... It will be available soon.

    Not for me, I have no PS2 :(

    I hope it will be available first for PS2 and maybe later for PC. Does it also use the Black Isle Aurora engine, the one that they use for NWN? (just curious)

    [​IMG] 1. The game will be PS2 only.
    2. The game only shares the name with the BG games; it's a Diablo clone in truth.
    3. It doesn't use the same engine as NWN.
    4. You can pre-order it from our Games section. ;)

    [​IMG] Does anything meke this game a Baldur's Gate game other than the fact that in some areas it's set in Baldur's Gate. Is the main character a child of Bhall or not. I'm confused about what it's all about.

    [​IMG] Well the game DOES use 3rd edition D&D rules, but you can imagine how realistic that can be on a console...

    And it DOES happen in the same city of Baldur's Gate.

    But - it only allows you to play 3 heroes, and its main goal is killing things - again, like Diablo. Quests and intrigue come second. It looks stunning, however. And, if you trust the previews, it's very fun to play. :)

    But it has nothing at all to do with the Child of Bhaal saga we've been playing on the PC. See http://www.interplay.com/bgdarkalliance/ for more info.
