Okay, so heres another "What should my party be?" question. This is my first time playing as a sorcerer and I thought playing throught Tutu first would be a good way to start. I like to mix up my parties every now and again. No more Minsc, Dynaheir, Khalid and Jaheira. I've decided to keep Imoen and possibly dual-class her into a mage. I also want to take Faldorn with me in this play through.

So here is my party so far...
    1. Me - Sorcerer
    2. Imoen - Thief/Mage? (If so what level)
    3. Faldorn - Druid

Now, I'll ask you talented people to fill my remaining rosters :) I'm also thinking of bringing along Ajantis (Inquisitor). Dependant on if I dual Immy, should I take another Thief or not? Thanks in advance!

Well depending on you going entirely evil or good it depends.

I would certainly no matter what take Edwin Odeisseron based upon his power and sheer fun factor.

I don't think you need another thief unless you want to have a backstabber which immy is not really good at.

Again for evil take Kagain as a tank, Shar-teel can function in that role as well. If good Ajantis is an excellent choice. Also if good take Kivan make him an archer and he'll be your biggest killing machine.

Then Viccy as a cleric when evil or Tiax if you can wait long enough until you get to the Gate. If good take branwen.

Last advice, install the Baldurs gate NPC project especially made for tutu, this will make all npc's behave as BGII's NPC's. Thus bantering, several romances and their own sidequests.

Well, I usually like to play good, as I can't handle not being a goodie goodie :p The sorcerer I made is CN so I can go both ways. I have both the Kit Pack and Interactions installed, and have previously played through Tutu with a Paladin and Druid. I am just looking for some good chemistry with a sorcerer. Kivan is always a good choice since he shoots like well...an Elf! hehe...Ajantis is very powerful, as is Branwen, I've chosen Faldorn over Branwen in this run through. I find Tiax very annoying, and soo evil :p

Thanks for your input, I'm seriously debating to take Faldorn or Viconia...

You need tanks, obviously. If you're not dead-set on playing a sorc as CHARNAME, you might want to choose a tank class or tank multiclass. There are several interesting ones that can help fill out your ranks. For instance, barbarians' and berserkers' special abilities make them powerhouses in BG1TUTU. You could also go the route of a multiclass; half-elf ranger/cleric offers a balanced challenge in the BG1 content because you can wear heavy armor and cast spells, but your hybrid class stunts your XP progression, especially with a full party.

If you're playing a non-evil party, Ajantis is fine as a main tank, and he's easy to get to. Not taking either Khalid or Minsc really, really limits your tank options. If the main problem with Khalid is that you're sick of Jaheira, you can just kill Jaheira off.

You could plan to add Yeslick as a backup tank eventually, but he takes quite a while to get to.

You could always get coran(the best archer in the game), yeslick, kivan, faldorn immy and your sorcerer.

This is if you are a good/neutral party.

    for evil:

Your sorcerer, Edwin, Viconia, Kaigan and/or shar-teel, Safana, and Eldoth/Tiax.

If you don't know Yeslick, Coran, Faldorn, Eldoth, and Tiax are all somewhat late game additions... you can get a mod to change that if you want. Also there are several NPC mods out there. The link below should have 3-4 of them.

Using Sword Coast Strategems you can have those characters a bit sooner.

Tiax is very good to have around. His ghast summon is pretty useful in the beginning, might be just a wee bit overpowered though.

Normally I'd agree with this statement, but with Kivan getting the Archer kit in Tutu, Kivan's easily a better ranged attacker.

Getting people sooner is not an issue, as I just CLUAConsole them into the game. I think Coran would be a good addition to the line up, but with him in the party, Kivan & Imoen, arrow consuption is a little over the top. (bow of the Gensen where are you?)

now I think I've made some decisions...

    1) Charname - Sorcerer
    2) Imoen - Thief/Mage
    3) Ajantis - Inquisitor
    4) Faldorn - Druid
    5) Coran - Fighter/Thief
    6) Yet to be decided...someone of the warrior pool...

Arrows are so darn cheap, so what difference does it make?

-- then again, I use Ease of Use's infinite stacking component.

They're cheap, but when you're in the middle of no where and you run out its a big pain in the butt to throw Immy in there with a dagger :p
