Ok this is the second time I'm going through the game, so I thought I actually join the bandits this time instead of actually beating the location out of that guy in Beregost. I think I read somewhere that you have to fight Tazok here, but so far I haven't had to. Basically, I've gone into th main tent, and killed the four people there, and now it's moved onto chapter 4. What I'm wondering is whether there is any point in waiting around at all, I've tried resting, but Tazok doens't seem to be reappearing, and the people of the camp are still neutral to me, so I was wondering whether I should just head on to Cloakwood.

If you join with the bandits it should take you to the camp where you see a short cut scene. In it, Tazok should arrive and start asking questions about your party. At some point (only if he doesn't like your answers, I think) he should start attacking, and after you do so much damage he'll call off the fight and start to leave. You'll have to force attack him then to kill him. Oddly, after I did this in my game, all the other bandits stayed friendly even though I'd just killed their leader. I guess the programmers didn't allow for the fact that someone might kill him after he calls off the fight.

Strange, the way it happened for me was we duped Tazok into letting us join and he didn't fight us at all, instead he left for Cloakwood (where I am at now.) I had full run of the camp until I went into Tazok's tent :D.

Ahhh- that's what happened to me - he went off to Cloakwood, which I guess is my next destination. Cheers.

This time around I killed everyone myself. But if you want to minimize party casualties, here's a trick:
    Charm Taugosz Khossnan.
Let him kill as many people as he can
When it wears off and he's hurt, whack him ;)
    It works... :D

Strange, I killed Tazok (4000 xp and Gauntlets of Weapon Expertise)

But I heard that after they knew Tazok would return in BG2, (and it also is strange to kill someone 2 times in 1 game) there's an update wich makes Tazok not attack you in BC.

[IMG] Sniper: When he's under your control, you still get the xp. Wouldn't have done it otherwise ;)
