[IMG] OK so my curiousity overcame me and I counted the number of corpses after the glorious Battle O' Targos in the prologue.

Research indicates a force of 64 goblins, 7 wolves, and 1 worg attacked the Palisade walls. (Not all of these you fight of course.)

A force of 52 fought them off (including my party and characters like Anson, Niles, Olap, and the Iron Collar Mercenaries.) Only my party and two members of the Iron Collar survived.

Got any other unusual facts about any part of the game? Share them here. :book:

[IMG] Overall, I liked the story of the game. There is however one glaring hole in the game that leaves me dissatisfied.

After doing all the chores in the Hunters Village, Isair and Madae spring a suprise visit upon you. Isair decides to let you live as a messenger to the rest of the north.

    Come On!!!!!

I mean, you just laid low the Horde Fortress, which was the base of attacks upon the Ten Towns. You just killed one of their most valued underlings, Sherincal. At that time, they easily have the power to level the party. Yet whatever logic or sense of prudence they possess gets overpowered by the desire to use you as a messenger!

    Talk about weak!!!

Beren, think about it. Isair and Madae, at that time, could make any party into a throw rug. Of course they aren't going to attack you because that would be the end of the game. I mean, sure, you fight Irenicus like 3 times, but each of those times, he gets harder, and harder, and then damn near impossible. Isair and Madae, I'm assuming don't do that. They're just...strong, very strong. So, don't sweat it. It's story progression. They can't attack you or it would be the end, they win and take over the Ten-Towns.

Would kinda have made more sense if they didn't turn up. "Oh you pesky little annoyance, I'll let you live now just so you can get stronger. I'm not really annoyed yet since you've only beaten up half my army."

If anything needed to be communicated, it could could have been done in a number of other ways in all fairness.

I fought the palisade war last weekend (HoF) and more than five of the "trainees" survived not to mention all NPCs. Only 1/3 of Targos' forces were dead.

A funny part of the game was when we met Yquoq(or something) second time in Severed Hand. I was carrying all deads and he said something like; "You must be a maniac if you carry around dead bodies with you."
And he was right; I am crazy, indeed.

    I've thought of another one,

The three Aurilite sisters had a deal with Madae. The contract is as follows, the Aurilites hold the Western Pass for the Legion of the Chimera. In return, the Legion destroys the blasphemous warmth of the Great Oak and obtains the Heartstone Gem for the Aurilites.

When you end up taking on the Yuan-ti in Kuldahar, you learn that the reason for their allegiance with the Legion is so that they can claim the warmth of the Great Oak for their warm-blooded selves.

It seems the demonic twins were playing a chancy game, courting two sets of allies who are clearly at cross-purposes with one another.

Suppose that the Heroes fail, and Kuldahar is wiped clean of human and demi-human life? Who gets to achieve their objective with respect to the Great Oak? The Aurilites or the Yuan-ti? It seems both would come to blows.

What if both sides add two and two together? Would that then turn into a three way rumble?

    Interesting ...

I think that depends on where heroes fail.
If they fail before chapter 2, Aurilities can get the prize, else they will be dead. So they won't get anything and Yuan-Ti will get the whole loot.
However, maybe twins will kill them all once heroes dead and neither group has no use anymore.
Or, the twins do not betray any of them and they just made an agreement with Yuan-Ti when they see that you made your way to Western Pass. (Remember that you meet them in chapter 3) Seeing that Aurilities dead, there is nothing wrong to tell Yuan-Ti that they can have Kuldahar and gem.

Just a piece of brainstorm. The subject is open-ended and allows one to think. Interesting possibilities as Beren mentioned.

I don't remember fighting Isair and Madae in the wandering village...or was it their zombie bozos?

If the Aurilites and Yuan-Ti then had to duke it out then Isair and Madae would step in and smash them all, but didn't Cedra have an agreement with Madae?...

That's the thing. Madae brokered a deal with both Lysara and Cedra. If the annihilation of Kuldahar's locals is realized, the two of them are not going to agree over the fate of the Great Oak.

What exactly were the twins thinking or planning? What would happen if each side realizes that the twins had made a contradictory promise to the other side?

    Food for thought ...

I dunno, perhaps Madae may have said to Isair something like, "Kill them!"...

    Khazraj:
I never said that you fight the twins in Wandering Village. I just said that I "meet" them.

I think the twins wouldn't let either Aurilities or Yuan-Ti abominations have the Great Oak and Kuldahar for their own.
The winner would get death for an award.
Here is the question: Do you think that the combined force of Aurilities and Yuan-Ti can defeat The Twins?
