In order to achieve rank do you have to play lvls 1-10? I played 1-5 and got the first rank.
Could someone explain the rules of the square?

Here's what I know, or at least what i think I know. Each level, activated by the 10 levers, is a difficulty. Each level has a certain amount of ranks, and gaining three squares in a row, you wein the game, and getting more squares then three gives you ranks, from 1-5. I don't know how many ranks there are total per level, or anything else.

 

Rank is what you activate using the levers. Each rank has 5 levels.

3 squares = level 1
4 squares = level 2 ...and so on until
7 squares = level 5

You complete all 5 levels, you complete that rank. Upon completion of a rank, you get a rank prize, which is what you should be looking for. Of course completion of each level gives you minor prize too.
