I gave an Arkheg shell to the smith in Beregost to get an Ankheg armor to be prepared in 10 days.

It's been 12 days and there are NOONE in his shop since the 10th day. Am I supposed to find him elsewhere? Or am I a truly lucky one to be conned by a bug ?

IIRC he is only there during the day. Did you visit the smithy during opening hours?

Ah thanks so much, how dumb I was not to think of that.

So I still have another shell but it seems that the Beregost smith is not willing to forge me a new Ankheg armor. Is there another place to get an Ankheg armor prepared ?

Also where is that Flamefist Captain from whom I can collect my reward for bandit scalps I've gathered ?

You can't get any more Ankheg's made but there's another Ankheg plate somewhere in Nashkel, you just have to find it ;)

As for the missing Captain you'll find him on one of the western maps, it's really no rush to find him, just take your time and enjoy exploring on your own :) Don't worry, he's hard to miss.

Me, who wanders all around with Tab button pressed wonders how he missed this.

I have found gems, wands, rings stuffed into almost invisible pixels, however this armor was the best one could get.

Now my tanks, Khalid and Minsc have been upgraded to Tiger Tanks :o

    Thanks for the tips.

BTW, I've read that that the captain who gives rewards for bandit scalps is normally found in Jovial Juggler Inn, in Chapter 3. However if you start Chapter 4, he is told to be disappearing from there, which is true -that's why I can't find him 'cause I'm in Chapter 4already (despite the fact that I'm an explorer adventurer who does not stick to the main campaign).

Is there still a chance? Because I don't want to give up 1050 gold (21 scalps, dammit) which occupy 3 slots in Imoen's inventory.

I have explored ALL areas that are souther to the Farmlands area, fyi.

And for a final note, I want to share a tip although I'm sure that it already was found:

For Sirenes, or for any other enemy that casts charm upon your allies in the party, just let Minsc meet them alone, and let him go berserk at the very first sight of the enemy.

Watching his berserk rage rendering Charm spell useless while cutting off anyone around like a butcher is one of the finest moments I've experienced.

    That is correct.

I'd advise you to enjoy the game and relax, doesn't matter if you don't do every quests in the game. Walkthrough and guides will spoil your fun.

When Vai is gone, she is gone. However, you can still sell them elsewhere at a reduced profit.

IIRC, you can also sell them in High Hedge, that guy is rather sick. He buys skulls too!

I think the same goes for Feldepost as well. Also a couple places in Baldur's Gate E Section. Possibly more places elsewhere in BG like the SW section.
