Ok, I don't know if this has been posted before, but I did I quick search for it, and came up empty handed, so here we are...

Now, I'm looking for what you guys think is the best NPC combination for funny/memorable dialog between 2 or more of the BioWare/mod NPCs.

I find the Sarevok-Immy conversations pretty funny. But I have a tendency to keep the same NPCs in most of my games.

So what's your favorite combo for the best inter-party banter? Any 3-way banters besides the ones from Kelsey? :rolling:

Jan and Anomen. I really enjoy how Jan pricks Anomen's pride and the best comeback is "You icky man."

Of course, Jan and anyone is funny.

Let's see, there's this thread which is fairly recent:

    perfect banter party

Romances give the most dialog. Human male with Jaheira, Aerie and Viconia will have a lot of chatter. Add Haer'Dalis for added fun (these turn into three way).

Jaheira and Minsc have the most interaction during conversations with non-joinable NPC's. Jaheira has the most overall interactions of any of the joinable NPC's. Jaheira's conversations with Cernd become interesting in ToB.

Any of the animosity duo's will add some spice to the game: Aerie/Korgan, Keldorn/Viconia, Minsc/Edwin, Aerie or Keldorn/CN Anomen, etc..

The combination of Anomen, Jan, Keldorn, and Minsc has the most dialog (with the exception of the romances). Mazzy and Korgan are good together; adding Aerie will liven things up a lot. Mazzy and Minsc have an especially good conversation -- as does Minsc and Jaheira.

A lot of dialog is quest specific -- have the character with you that gave the quest for more banter during that quest.

The is no watcher's keep banter if you do it during SoA -- wait until after you've started ToB to go to Watcher's Keep.

Quantity is not always quality. Edwin's quest has great banter from Minsc, Jaheira, Keldorn, Anomen, and Nalia. Anomen shows his true colors if you rescue Viconia with him in the party (Jaheira will also comment for a four-way conversation). I've heard that Imoen and Keldorn have a great conversation in ToB -- but I never keep him after dealing with his family.

Jan and minsc and boo really get going. Most of them seem technically initiated by Jan though so I have a hard time saying that Misnc has the most with others after the few times I've had Jan and he hardly shut up on some subject or another any of those times no matter who I had. Minsc just seems to babble about his hamster a lot unless you get aerie in the mix too and they have conversations about her being his witch. Which seems kind of wrong to me if your romancing her.

Another duo that goes on quite a bit at least in SoA is Edwin and Haer Dalis' They have a number of various conversations with a lot of sniping back and forth and Haer Dalis' does spout off one of the best banters to Edwina's condition.

Mazzy-Korgan is excellent, and probably the most under-rated in the game.

Keldorn and Yoshimo have one of the funniest banter in the game.

Jan never shuts up, no matter who you have, so he's worth having. Imoen and Sarevok are quite good to have together, too.

The most fun way to have characters sniping at each other is to be a male and have Aerie, Viconia and Jaheira all in your party very early in the game. For even more fun add Haer'Dalis early on, and watch the fun.

Ahh, but that statement is over-ruled by this one:
Sarevok is one of my all time favorite NPCs...but IMO he needs more inter-pary banter. Maybe I'm just missing a lot of it due to my regular party members. Are there any good banters between Sarevok and: Keldorn, Edwin, Korgan, Mazzy, or Cernd? :rolling:

Korgan/Jan/Keldorn/Anomen/Minsc might be a good banter party. So far I've had no more than 10-20 minutes of movement/talking to other NPC's, without one of them or up to three interjecting/bantering. Been rather nice, (I have Edwin instead of MInsc though, and Edwina doesn't chat a whole lot. THing is that Korgan has something to say or be said to by everyone in the party. He only gets along with Edwin.

OK then, I've never had Korgan in my party before so I might try him (at least for a little while) in my current game and see how he goes.

Edwina talks. But she tends to talk to girls more. She's got Several with Aerie for instance. And I believe I heard she has a few with Viconia. Haven't tried it though so I'm not sure.

See this is my thinking on Misnc and his conversational value being rather wasted early on in the game. Most of his conversations you've basically seen the way the rest in that thread of thinking will be when you've seen the first one. The only ones that I can remember that aren't that way are those with Aerie over being a witch. Which seem to be few.

Jan and Anomen is choice--Ano the Orc has to be one of my favorite parables!

The banter pack does offer some pretty good dialogues involving Minsc and "Larry". The one with Jaheira is choice, and there's a pretty good serious one with Minsc and Keldorn with Larry making a few interjections here and there.

And yes, Korgan is well worth bringing in to almost any party.

Lilarcor (the sword) has a few new lines with Minsc if you've got the banter pack installed. I believe he's referred to as Larry in one of them.
