So what do you think is the best job in the world? A genuine job mind.

If you had the qualifications, what would you do? Your dream job...

    Astronaut? Fighter Pilot? Footballer?

How about this for a starter:

There are men in Guam whose full-time job is to travel the countryside and deflower young virgins, who pay them for the privilege of having sex for the first time .

Reason: under Guam law, it is expressly forbidden for virgins to marry.

(Let's just think for a minute; is there any job anywhere else in the world that even comes close to this?)

and here I thought your dream job would be sports commentator :p

Being paid to read good fiction would be a lovely job, but I will have to settle for Famous Romance Novellist (tm).

Well, a reviewer job means that you get paid to do whatever it is you love to do. Video game reviewers are paid to play video games, book reviewers are paid to read books. The only downside is that you have to actually write critiques afterward. And there are obviously a limited quantity of those jobs available, so you've got to be good at it, not to mention lucky that there's a spot open when you're looking.

But the best job of all...unemployed. No work to do, so you can do anything you want. If you're wealthy, you can even stay that way. ;)

Only if you really believe such a job exists BA. I've known many people from Guam and have never heard of that.

Taste tester for [insert your favorite alcohol here].

My favorites are the guys that determine whether a particular barrel of Jack Daniels is aged enough. The second is the guys who taste test Samuel Adams at the bars -- they are only allowed to visit two or three bars each day and are required to drink the beer to determine quality.

    A take-off of Ara's reply:

    Reading in general. :book:
Fiction author. I have fantasies some high-end publisher will read the gaggle of stories I've posted on the Internet over the past 15 years, email me and offer to publish them in book form worldwide. :jawdrop:

Anything where you spend your day making or playing games. I'd even like working in a game store to be honest with you...

My dream job would be to own a mainstream distillery. After a fair amount of dough has rolled in, youd be able to hire someone else to handle the business while you go out the back and get ***-faced on your own products.

    My top five:
#1: Wet T-Shirt contest judge.
#2: Professional photographer for any/all of the men's magazines (i.e. Maxim, Stuff, FHM, SI: Swimsuit, Playboy, etc...)
#3: Professional Pilot for British Airlines, specifically flying the Concord jet (which is still out of commission ATM)
    #4: Hotel/Resort/Spa reviewer
    #5: Estate inheritor. :p :skeptic:

Going off of #2, I'd really like to have the skills and equipment to open my own photography studio, offering services from in-studio family portraits, to on-site art nudes (non of that trashy porn stuff). But Reputable photography colleges are expensive though... :rolling:

yeah BA that job sounds too good/unrealistic? to be true.

ummm game reviewer for gamespot or working for wizard magazine.

or that guy on the discovery channel who is PAID to travel all over the world and learn various martial arts from masters for free.

With time to reflect, I'm curious about the pay differences between the male and female deflowerers. :hmm:

Metal fabricator. To start from sheets, and build something concrete.

The job I currently have is great, but it's repair and not fabrication.

Working for a hubristic company that has expanded by buying out bankrupt businesses, and which is so disorganised that I can go into work, surf the Net and play video games all day, go home and receive a paycheck every month.
And maybe a bonus every now and then for my "hard work" and "stick-to-it-ness".

It can only be a tradition but not really law. ;) I just can't imagine people checking if neither of the nupturients is a virgin, or the authorities enforcing that kind of law on Christians or Jews or Muslims, let alone enforcing the use of official deflowerers for that.

just thought about that job of BA. Even if it's real, I now doubt how much fun it would be..

I mean, how many of the attractive girls would have to pay for this "service"? I'm sure that they'll all be able to find some hormone-laden lad to service them for free :p which would leave the less attractive (read: nobody wants em even when they're offering it up) type for the workers :D :p

just in case some people don't get it, this is just a wise-ass post, no need to comment on my shallowness and such ;)
