This topic isn´t like all the others "Best Party" topics. Cause this is made with Tutu in mind. That means that the NPCs get dual wielding and some can even get kits. Makes it all so much more interesting.

Mye PC is an elven stalker dual wielding long sword and sometimes maces. My weapon prof is chosen with BG2 in mind. And that means that I must save slots for kantanas and maces, as I don´t get to rechoose.

The only NPC that I am sure of, is Imoen. Due to the story and roleplay I must have her with me. For the same reasons as Imoen, am I considering Jaheira and Minsc. Both are in BG2. But with me being a ranger, will Minsc be overkill? And then there are the old thief question. There are tree choices: Imoen, Coran and Safana. If I dual Imoen to mage I don´t need to worry about bringing another mage.
Coran is such a cool character, and such a suberb archer. But since my PC is going to get the best leather armour he is kinda easy to kill, right? And I get him very late, so I must rush through the early game to get him, before he messes up his thief skills. All these thing points in the direction of not taking him with me, but he is such a cool guy. Relly want him.
Safana sounds like a good thief. If I take her I can dual Imoen right away and still get Safana early withoyt rushing.

What do you guys think. Am I wrong about some of these people? What kind of party should I have?

So many questions - here's what I think - in no particular order:

I don't think it's overkill to bring Minsc along with you. A vanilla ranger is a very different character than a stalker, and having two or three strong melee characters is always a good thing.

I see nothing wrong with the idea of taking Imoen, Minsc and Jaheira along for role-playing reasons, but if you're truly going to role play, then you're kind of stuck taking Khalid and Dynaheir as well, seeing as how they're both dead at the start of BG2. True role-playing would be bringing them with you, as opposed to locking them in a house (not very realistic) or having them get killed (not very nice).

If that aspect of role-playing doesn't bother you, then I think dualling Imoen and taking Safana as your thief is a fine idea. So you'll have Minsc, Imoen, Jaheira, and Safana. To be honest, I really don't understand why you wouldn't take Khalid along as well - he'd definitely be my choice of a sixth character given these five - although I suppose Ajantis would work as well.

I have thought some now and have come up with these suggestions. I now have TotSC too.

    Ozzi (Stalker)
    Imoen (Swashbuckler/Mage)
    Minsc
    Jaheira
    Coran

But there are some things that troubles my mind. In what level should I dual Imoen?
And who should take the final spot. Usually I have taken Branwen/Yeslick, but is it nessesary to have two clerics/druids?

Keep in mind, with that party, you're going to have to find a way to "lose" Khalid and Dynahier. You don't really need two clerics, but Branwen would work. Other options (I still think Khalid is the best) would include Xan (if you want more magic) or Ajantis (if you want more beef up front).

As far as when to dual Imoen, I would say pretty late. You probably want at least 80% in both pick locks and disarm traps, meaning you'll need quite a few levels. Unless of course you want to have Coran take care of one of those duties. Generally speaking, even with Coran, I'd say not before level 5 (when you get a bonus to hit and AC with the swashbuckler class)
