    Sadly, it doesn't really come as a surprise. Humans have always trained animals for hunting and warfare. It's not even the first time that animals are equipped with weapons. Horses in the middle ages where bred and trained for war, and equipped with armour to protect their bodies, and heavy spiked shoes to maximise the damage of their kicks. A battle-trained horse would bite and kick other mounts and soldiers, seriously maiming them, if not killing them straight away.

    Now, arming an animal with a ranged weapon? We are not that far from seeing Dr. Evil's "Sharks with laser beams", aren't we? :D
