BG1 Patch

    I am about to re-install BG1 only and not TOTSC. I need to install the correct patches for it and would like to clarify something.

    I live in the UK.

    The latest patch for BG1 is 1.1.4315, with the International version being required for non US/Canada.

    There is also a DirectX patch available. I assume I want the English version, or do I need the International version as well?

    Depending on your version of the game, it could have the patch implemented already (in case you bought one of the BG+ToSC combos). The DirectX patch is only relevant if you want to use multiplayer.

    And no, you only pick one version of the patch, so English in your case.

    But why wouldn't you want to install ToSC as well?

    I do normally play TOTSC, but Shandris wants a multi-player game and only has BG installed. So I am currently un-installing and re-installing just BG.

    Thanks for the info. I have installed the International Patch and the English DirectX fix.

    Uh, I told you in my post above to install the English patch... Not that it matters, I think International contains the entire English patch too.

    For the main patch it has only US/Canada or International. The International has an English option. I thought perhaps the US/Canada was locale specific to that region.

    The DX patch had the English option, which I did install.
