I don't really know if I should have posted this on the IWD forum, but since the problem is with BG2, I'm posting it here.

After I installed my newly aquired Icewind Dale, whenever I try to access the load-screen in BG2, the game crashes. Even if I uninstall IWD, I have to reinstall BG2 to make it work. The conclusion to this is that I can't play IWD, since the computer is my brother's and he wants to play BG2. Does this happen because the games use the same engine?

I have SoA, ToB, ToB patch, the Kelsey MOD and the NPC flirt MOD installed.

Have anyone else experienced this? Help would be very much appreciated, I want to explore IWD. I tried searching the boards both here and on interplay, but found nothing.

[IMG] I usually have both BG2 and IWD on my computer at the same time working perfectly.

(Well, it's reversed now -BG and IWD2)

Have you checked RAM And memory and system resources? Maybe it's the MODs which aren't compatable?

It should not matter what you have installed to your machine as long as they have different work files and different registry entries. Just check that you did not put those games under the same folder. Just in case: install Icewind dale first, then BaldurĀ“s gate; this should prevent any registry overwrites. Also, check that you do not have any programs running at the background.
