well i have been rummaging through my old things and i have found my old installer of BG2 and throne of bhaal. I want to play this game again but this time only ONCE coz i barely have enough time to play games.

So the question is, is there a mod so that i can control more than 6 characters? i want to make my own party and have 8 classes so that i can play them all in one playthrough...

    thanks for your time...

[IMG] Nope. Hardcoded into the engine so cannot be changed. Perhaps use multiclassing as an option instead?

    damn... thanks for replying...

on a similar (?) note, is it possible to control more than one character in NWN using the same PC?

[IMG] Some fan made modules will have sections where you temporarily control another character instead of your own. Otherwise it is not possible in a classical sense of controlling your party. You can only have one player active avatar in NWN.

if you write DebugMode=1 in your baldur.ini file you can ctrl+Q while cursor-hovering over someone to make them part of your party, this will make them instantly join your party, but only the 6 first people in your party will have a portrait, so the latter you will not be able to customize as much

[IMG] If there are more than 6 the reform party menu appears though. So that isn't really a viable solution to increasing party size.

sure 'bout that 8people? i seem to recall that the extras would just be treated as summons with unlimited time

Nope, their treated like regular party members. They even have character screens with stats and classes and the like. And inventories. If you're really having trouble with a lich, add him to your party and remove all his spells from his spell book, then boot him again.

Actually the reason there is no photo for most of the people you add to your party for this reason is that the game doesn't have them with photos. If you use ctrl+Q on NPCs that normally join your party they join with their photos. If you do the same to NPCs that normally don't join your party but do have photos (like Bodhi) then they join your party with the photo they use.

The ctrl + Y thing will probably work but then you get no exp.

while that is correct, it was a bit besides my point actually, what i meant was that only the first 6 people to join your party (including CHARNAME) will be shown on the right hand toolbar with portraits, regardless if they have portraits or not, so you will have limited control over the latter.

this is of course being a moot point as you cannot control more than 6 anyway

Ok, I didn't realize you were talking about the number of party members you can see on the right side of the screen. My mistake.
