BG2 party tweak files... Help!

    I downloaded the HappyGroup file from the sorcerers BG2 download page. I read the readme and everything and installed it and it overided a few file. I just hit overide all and didn't think about it (nothing I can't undo anyway). But then it hit me, the readme said I would only overide 1 file and that is only if you installed the jaheira fix, and I haven't. So why did it overide others. I got to thinking about the ToB Exp, what if these files were made for SoA and not for ToB, Did I just mess up the ToB continued romances? I can undo it, but first I need to now if there is a problem to undo. pls help!

    here is the tweak and who did it.

    Actually it was made for BG2, yes. Without seeing what it overwrote I can't really tell you if it can do any damage. (Though it shouldn't.)

    Go to your override dir and list files by date. The one with the newest date (when you overwrote it) is the one that has been changed. Tell me which one it was.

    As for the future, always backup your override dir before installing any hacks/patches etc.

    hehe, I now, the one time I don't back up I run into a problem.

    I called a friend who has the game and figured out that the only files that were overwriten are

    aerie.bcs jeheira.bcs and korgan.bcs

    Also, my files are between 1 to 1.5 k larger then his (if they were smaller I know I would of had a problem for shure).

    The files work fine, I just want to know if the romanses will continue when I get to ToB.

    No way of telling really... But if you have ToB, it's highly unlikely for it to still work if it was overwritten. (It won't contain any ToB data, after all. And the code could have been optimized, thus making it smaller for ToB.) Get your friend to send you the original files from his override and put them into yours. Safest way.

    Happygroup works in ToB, I think... I accidentaly got my rep to 19, and Sarevok didn't leave... and he had no Geas.
    My exuse on using said thing is that my evil character wants to have a good rep so that she can work better. If people think she's a good guy, her plans work all the better...
    (Then I lowered my rep by havin Imoen try a pickpocket on a kid... she failed, kid got red, I had AI on, Immy shot her. Ouch.)
