Funny problem this. I've come back to BG2 after a long time, still a great game though. I did have it on my PC put some pathways have got corrupted I guess and after deleting all the files I cannot install the game again as it thinks its already installed?

I remember this being an issue for other people and wondered if someone could tell me the method of putting a clean install back on my PC? Thanks!

Have you tried uninstalling it with the splash menu, even though the files are no longer there? If it asks for any particular file, go to your Recycle Bin, right-click and select Restore; it'll be 'un-deleted' and back where it originally was, so that you can try un-installing again.

If you do manage to un-install, but it still thinks it's installed, you need to delete some stuff from your registry. Ask olimikrig for details or search through the two BG2 forums for "registry".

RegCleaner is pretty good software for registry maintenance. Remember you can mess your comp badly with it, so be sure to make backups.
