[IMG] Does anybody know the lyrics of the song Billy Boyd (Pippin) is singing in Return of the kings? On the cd it's on the end of the track: The Steward of Gondor.

Also what do you think of this song? I just love it!

In my opinion it is one of the best songs included in a movie soundtrack. Howard Shore, a fellow Canadian, is a genius.

And the scene that it is in gives me goosebumps every time. Such a moving and brilliant piece of filmaking.

I love that scene and that song too! Really great stuff...

And the lyrics to Pippin's song are:

Home is behind, the world ahead.
And there are many paths to tread.

Through shadow, to the edge of night.
Until the stars are all alight.

Mist and shadow; cloud and shade.
Hope shall fail. All shall fade.

(I may be missing a line or two...it's been a little while...)

[IMG] Thanx very much that lyrics are correct only hope shall fade is repeated!

I love that scene those riders riding towards surten doom. And pipin standing there in the big bad real world. Lovely... In a sad way.
