I can't cast spells with any character who's equipped the Black Dragon Scale armor you buy in the Wandering Village!!

Well...I equipped my Druid with it, and tried casting spells...but the spell casting icons were just grayed out. Once I took the armor off, they were back to normal! I tried this out with my Cleric as well, and they couldn't cast spells either.

I really want to use this armor, as my high dex Ranger/Druid could REALLY use this armor...I don't think I'm going to get a better set of armor until Zuvembie in Dragon's Eye IIRC...

IF someone could tell me why I'm not able to cast spells in this armor, and how to fix this, I'd really appreciate it. At the moment, its being wasted on my Rogue/Wizard/Fighter/Paladin/Monk/Ranger decoy... :grr:

Hmm I can't remember it, but it is really weird that an armor disallows divine spell casting. Hope other guys help you.

BTW, rogue/wizard/fighter/paladin/monk/ranger character? WHat is his name, CHARNAME the indecisive? Can he even gain levels any longer, is he really useful or were you only having fun?

Faraaz, you probably have the Wiemur Ease of use mod installed. One of the submods in the EoU mod made about 3-4 old armors that were in the game structure available to the player, the Black Dragon scale being one of them. Unfortunately, it appears that BIS hadn't intended on them being used, because they're all slightly flawed, having that annoying but very fixable little flaw that turns off spellcasting (as well as any innate abilities).

So is there anything like IEEP I could use to turn on the spell casting again? Or some fix I could get from somewhere?

@Silverstar: Yeah...as I mentioned, it was a decoy...his only purpose was high AC, Evasion with insanely high reflex saves, buffs like Mirror Image etc.

It was a highly specialised character. It couldn't do much of anything melee wise, but late game, it was able to help out with all the buffing, debuffing, and some minor blasting with stuff like Fireball, Sunfire etc. Just something to take the heat off my tanks and bombers..err I mean Sorcerers. :)
