Do you mean "save-game editor" or a real "world-editor?"

ShadowKeeper can do the first mentioned, but for the latter you'd better get aquinted with WeiDu.

WeiDu can edit pretty much anything in the game but it's not an easy system to learn. I've been struggling with it for a while now and not got much further than the very basics of editing. Anything complex goes right over my head.

For, say, Infinity Explorer, create a folder called "Infinity Explorer", open the file you downloaded with winzip or a program similar to winzip. Extract the files into the "Infinity Explorer" folder. And there you go.

Really, they aren't worth the trouble you have to see just so you could script simple events. I suggest you wait until a proper editor comes out -if comes out ;)

Considering the game in question in 4 years old, is a proper editor likely to come out?

If you've got Windows XP, then WinZip is not necessary for opening .zip files.

No, you can't. Scripting is pretty easy to learn, though.
